Just hearing on the news that Bob Hoskins has passed away, they are saying it was pneumonia but have not read into it yet.
News has saddened me greatly, I rarely ever watch television but Mr Hoskins was an actor that I personally did enjoy watching. Probably most famous for his role in "The Long Good Friday" but my favourite with him and one of my very fave films of all time is "A Room for Romeo Brass" where he plays a small part as a quite disinterested home tutor/teacher, check it out..one of those films that slips under the radar without all the hollywood hype that modern movies are afflicted with nowadays.

Retired in 2012 announcing he has Parkinson's.

One can read every single thought that went through that characters head at the end of that scene. The speech at the begining was brilliant oratory, but the emotion shown at the end is the epitome of acting.

He will be missed and he is one of those actors that I will see roles in future movies that I will say to my self that he should have had the part.

His violent / mobster type roles are good but for me ill always view him with my childhood eyes.

For sure gonna have to rewatch Roger Rabbit and probably Brazil too now since I haven't seen either in a while.
