HELP!

I cannot EXPORT (but can import) my Overview settings file.

I've experimented, and have found:

1) I can delete the client "settings" file folder (and all its contents) and then export works just fine.
(But I lose all my hard-earned Overview settings, and, I think, my bookmarks, so this is not a viable fix.)

2) I have 31 settings in my Overview settings file itself (not the folder, which has only eight settings files), e.g., PvP, Escape, Planets, etc., the usual. And if I un-tick the last one setting ("•pvp - no drones"), it saves the file. I've experimented, un-checking the others usually doesn't save the file, but one or two of them (no rhyme no reason) allows me to save the file. Could it be that collectively, there is a finite FILE SIZE LIMIT? Or a number of files limit (less likely) when exporting one's Overview Settings?

3) It appears to be a file size-related issue. I can open the Export Overview Settings and tick any combination of check boxes and get it to save. I can't get it save ALL of them at once is the issue. Odd.

4) I can successfully import any file that is created in the Overview folder in which they are saved.


I don't want to delete and rebuild my settings file--I don't want to lose anything. Is there a more elegant solution to this, and is there a hard limit in terms of # of files or file size after which export isn't possible?

I can't believe I'm the only guy who is having this problem, but I've searched the forums, can't find anything directly on point.

I'm having a similar problem, I can't export my overview unless I uncheck everything, gonna try remove the drones one as well.
