Clearly he should have held onto his butt.

My favorite part is how it's fairly clear that Dr. Grant is a psychopath. He goes out of his way to mentally traumatize children on several occasions throughout the movie, and shows clear antisocial personality traits.

read the book.

I actually read both of them about ten years ago, kinda brain dumped the entire thing with how bad the second one was.

But I know what you're talking about, in the books he is a lumberjack looking guy who likes kids. But we were discussing the movie, anyway.

If you believe this "PSA" then you're just as dumb as the mindless drones that do Mittens' bidding.

In the book raptors eat babies in the first chapter dont they?

No, that's the one with dinosaurs, but without hats. I think it's The Valley of Gwangi

Don't apologize for going off topic when we're basically ignoring the thread anyway.

But yeah, I would look into that, such a thing would certainly have some value after this time, especially since they are trying to drum up another movie if they can manage to reanimate Jeff Goldblum from cryo storage.

Hey! It just occurred to me...

Is Red Frog called that as a pun on Toad Hall (Haul)?

Sadly, I think they will. I have little hope for it after the cell phone jingling Spinosaurus in the last one. That might as well have been directed by M. Night Shyamalamadingdong.

It turns out the Dinosaurs keep the humans in the park as curiosities....

I'm still holding out hope that Lars von Trier gets the ip, that would be worth seeing.

Might be deeply somewhat unsettling but it would certainly be better than what we are going to get

As a distinct aside, I think the new Godzilla movie just might scratch that itch. I'll be giving it a try, and hopefully it won't be quite as much of a plotless actionporn as Pacific Rim.
