The Scandinavians are once again striking hard at Reykjavik, keep a hold of your hats because it can be windy.

Arise, arise, Drinkers of Reykjavik ! Fell deeds awake: fire and shots! Glasses shall be shaken, hangovers be splintered, a drinking-day, a beer day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to ruin, and the World's ending!! Ride to Reykjavik!


Is anyone interested in hooking up and grabbing a beer and dinner, talk about Eve online, real life and what not during any of the fanfestial days? 30th - 3rd, the 4th is for the hangover.. xd

People that are coming to fanfest, we hope you will have a merry time and remember to pack a wind jacket or similiar clothing, it gets really windy around the docks, where the harpa center is.
Also remember, taxi is quite expensive, so do not get to frisky.

Also, sound advice. The wind can be really nasty, waiting for the doors to open at Harpa last year was a right pain in the... ears. Note to self: bring a hat.

Day wont be decided, for when to go out and have dinner or etc. I'm up for all days as im going on a solo roam to fanfest this time. Just look for the dude in this hat,

And to spell it out, I too want this hat! Please inform me of what bribe you would deem acceptable.

It's just so epically ridiculous, and I'd wear it with pride. (that last word just gave the hat some alternative meanings, but I'm not one to judge whether it applies or not)

School circles are a no-go for me, they can get rather lively and I've had enough concussions as it is (which might explain a thing or two), but a beer? Sure thing.

Anyway... What about Shalimar, or whatever the place is called, is that still around and largely the same? If Enski Barinn is a bust, that's where I'll head tomorrow evening. I feel a craving for a chicken tikka... (got nothing like that in my town)

I believe Shalimar is still at the former location but havnt tried it since.. last fanfest i believe.

The English bar is always awesome, tho have never really eaten there except their pan pizzas.


I have a craving for reykjavik but i arrive early on wednesday :/

Yeah, me neither. Good pub grub, and as long as they have that and not just kidney pie or whatever strangeness the English eat I'm happy.

Well, let's see what happens, Fanfest is best when you don't plan in advance anyway. Expect to see your hat making headlines on Wednesday.

Shalimar is still there, I walked by it yesterday. Can't say if the food is the same, but it certainly *looks* the same: As if a taxi interior expolded in there :p
