So I just found this in heavy drones category! looks like a super drone with a 50mbit bandwidth requirement...Just search "Gecko" in the market...What do you guys think it is ?

judging by colour scheme, bandwidth size etc i would say this is made for the rattlesnake, im curious to see if we are going to find a new type of sentry drone being launched with similar superness

Looks like a fighter with cockpit. Maybe it's for Valkyrie.

Edit: Checked Variations and it seems to be a faction Dragonfly.

It has the Firefly (fighter) as a variation. The stats appear to be a mix of fighter and heavy drone (more heavy drone than fighter though.)

The stats on it are obnoxious (32 damage of all 4 damage types (that's 4x32) plus a 2.05 damage modifier. Max velocity of 1,820 m/s, 1,010 shield HP, 0.53 tracking... edit: Volume of 50m^3.


Either it's a work in progress/place holder, or CCP has lost their minds. Hopefully it's the latter.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

It's not a combat drone, it's an advertising drone. You launch it and it tells your enemies about how they can save 15% on their car insurance in 15 minutes. Thus distracted by their greed, they won't notice when you warp off.

Or... the void in ship classes that CCP is talking about is a pocket carrier (i.e. battleship sized) that uses the Gecko super-drones.

Or, given how the Empires reverse engineered T3 cruisers (and Dust Bunnies) from Sleeper tech, the Sleepers have decided to show the Empires the proper way to build drones...

Or, given the billions of pirate lives lost daily by Pirate NPCS at the hands of capsuleers, the Pirates have finally decided to start using drone technology in earnest as a cost savings measure...

Nah, Jovians have absolutely no reason to expose themselves. Every downtime they just check the empires out when everything stands still, do their stuff and then restart the cluster again. What?
