Well, maybe not exactly, but they did uncover the remains of the most epic fail game in ATARI's history, and maybe of all history.

I still gots my original cartridge... What?
Oh the the ...minutes of sheer satisfaction I had with this game.
It lives on, probably long after I have left.
Immortalized.

Yeah I saw this article a few weeks ago.

It's in the same state Smile
This happened today, article published within hours of the discoveryCool
Timely and fashionable news, my friend Smile
They started the dig on Thursday, took two days.
But yes, a long standing urban legend, but not so urban any longer.

Oh I looked it up and what I read was an article about them preparing to dig up a bunch of old Atari games and that the ET one was suppose to be in there. I had to do this for my own sanity.

And "Area 51" (Groom Lake) is NNW of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Yeah, it's been circulating recently, stories about preparation to do the dig. I heard about it I think late last year. I've talked about the legend in another forum some years back. I wonder how many they recovered though, were there really 3 or 4 million buried there...
I assume they prepped a day or so before they did the dig, using ultrasound to locate them. Must be in some pretty sad condition, though the circuit boards are protected with a spring loaded cover, or most of the cartridges were, I'd need to dig it out to check... er no pun intended heh

Oh as for area 51, it was just a topic naming spin (as like most my other threads), but just in the same state and associated with the legend actually. Just like this topic doesn't really have anything to do with the "missing link", apart from a dig. I reserve the right to spin my threads anyway I wish, within reason of course Blink Works for Matt Drudge anyway lol

Am I the only one here who didn't read 'Roswell' anywhere in the article?

The dig took place at Alamogordo, NM. Oddly enough, both Alamogordo and Roswell are about the same distance from Area 51, which is officially known as Groom Lake. Best part is I learned all of this just today!

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."
