My first Ghost Site! (Plus maybe some advice)

I found my first ghost site in a C3 wormhole, so i decided to go into it with my heron. I found the system core but then i went BOOM. I was kind of bummed because i scanned it and there was this 3billion ISK implant in it. Can anyone here give me some advice on what kind of ship i should be using to clear these? And any more general advice?

RR T3s with the hacking subsystems and skills at 5. The implants are worth a lot because they're hard to get, not because a heron can fly around grabbing them.

You really do need lvl 5 skills for the wh/null ones

i've done ghost sites in brick tanked stratios and even a brick tanked abso once.

The only requirement to complete the tougher Ghost sites is greater EHP than a typical hacking frigate provides.

Higher skills to hack before the site explodes is helpful ofc, but not necessary.

RR?? Not really needed at all.

High explosive resists with a hefty buffer. Armor preferred to leave midslots for electronics/prop mods. Use an afterburner and orbit cans while you hack to mitigate damage from NPCs. Astero/Malediction can do null-sec sites and above as long as it's not Guristas (missles hurt really bad). I've yet to find a WH site so can't help you there.

Personally, I've got a cheap fit Maller. T2 relic, relic rigs, lvl 5 skills for all hacking. To top it off some tank to survive the explosions/pirates if I fail...

Obviously, if you hadn't already, fit a cargo scanner or two... Sneak peak for the best can, as with WH sites, you might not get a second can.. So pick the best...

Also, a MWD to burn to the can you want...

So far I've got a few blueprints... Good fun to look out for. Great if the rest of your corp don't do them!

I prefer my stratios; I am too used to the covops cloak for exploring in wormholes, and it can tank like a beast. :D I do not have L5 hacking skills yet and I have lost a couple of cans to failure, but I can still get through them if I don't get unlucky.

I did one in a buzzard and got a bpc for a 700mill implant. Best isk/h I've ever had.

Hmmmm... mine is sitting at 50k, but that's with only two trimarks and an armor repper. If I changed it up to three trimarks and a second EANM, I could brush 70k EHP.

I'm still waiting for the day when CCP (or Bob) smiles upon me and blesses me with a ghost site in my ship scanner.

It's a fantastic feature when the vast majority of players (especially one that spend an inordinate amount of time in the ship scanner) have never seen one of these.
