Making corpses salvageable would help combating littering of space with these lost souls. Although there should only be a small chance of implants being salvageable imo (and the skill to increase the chance of course).

And any corpse to date should be implemented with full set of HG implants for obvious reasons Lol

If clone vats required as much incoming biomass as they put out we would see more careful use of smart bombs.

The use for corpses I want to see is alongside the introduction of... BUG SHIPS!

(they have to eat something)

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. You don't get yours until I get my patented "Rapid Light Corpse Launcher". Cool

Each one sticks to the target ship and reduces their speed by 10m/s for 60 seconds. A smashing hit pastes the corpse to their viewscreen, where the corpses face obscures the pilots field of view, and slowly slides off the screen making the sound of a squeegie being run across a windshield by a gas station attendant...

Camera drones, buddy. Blink

As hilarious as that sounds, lore shot you in the foot on that one.

Just saying.

Unfortunately there is no retail market of biomass in Rens, Jita, Amarr or any other of the trade hubs in empire
deep in 0.0 corpses can be exchanged for "tears" but again it is not a listed market stock

that is a shame ... many 0.0 alliances have been camped into stations for months existing only on the "tears of the dead"

PS ... has someone really written in cans outside the 4-4 jita undock "Cthulhu R'lyeh .." .... bl**dy new eden ... scamps :)

Podding earns the killer nothing, as it currently stands. It should stay that way, that's why the mechanic is there in the first place. It offers aggressor and aggressed a chance of capitulation / less than total destruction.

If you could loot implants from pod kills, no-one wouldn't pod kill. Bad enough as it is when people pride themselves over the extreme value of pod kills based entirely on implants, giving a monetary reward for it? No thank you/

As of now, corpses in EVE only serve as trophies and collectible items. They really serve no purpose and carry no real value beyond the sentimental value to the owner. When a ship is destroyed, part of everything inside of it is dropped. When a capsule with implants is destroyed nothing is dropped. Because capsules with implants often are quite valuable and can cost more than a capital ship, it would only make sense that at least some of the implants should be accessible to the killer. It would be great if players could reprocess corpses (eliminating them in the process) for some of the implants that they contain. The implants are physically inside of the corpses as it is. Corpse reprocessing would make pod kills even more valuable and add a degree of surprise to pvp.

How could you suggest such a Horrible thing!? :( :( :( :(

-1 for suggesting destroying Corpses!

I vote for a pirate ship - blood raiders perhaps? - that is powered by corpses. Twisted Or perhaps it has a unique ability that requires corpses to activate.

I am a fairly new player and have been following the ship rebalancing work over the last year or so. Overall these seem great, and makes ships that were utterly useless (*cough* old Prophecy) into ships that makes sense for some situations.

But I do fear if we may end up with every race ship being functionally equivalent for the sake of balance. The exceptions to this (like the T1 industrial rebalance which gave ships special roles) seem really cool imo. Hopefully we can have more of this over time for combat ships as well, without making things too unbalanced. :)
