I bought an Eagle and fit it with blasters. I never fly it and it is named Beagle. So, I have an EvE Dog.

Dude... really? A part of me just died reading this thread. Deimos is a wtfbbq solo boat. Eagle is an excellent large fleet boat vs hybrids.

Neither one is particularly well suited to PvE. Get an Ishtar and train drones. Or a Tengu if you don't want to train another weapons system.

The deimos has always seen very low usage in eve compared to other similar class hulls, there are a LOT of negative opinions on it. The hell are you talking about, deimos is quite outstanding as of now.

If you consider HACs, you consider only Cerberus, Deimos and Ishtar anyways for the most part. If you like fleets, Zealot and Muninn also come to mind, and the Sac for niche-things like lowsec brawls.
But still, 3 out of 8 and the deimos is amongst them. (RLM Cerb and shieldishtar the other two)

And the the deimos comes in variations even,
LSE-rails for kiting around 20-30k with antimatter going 2km/s+ cold,
rails-AAR-kiter which is incredibly cool thanks to its web,
even mwd-ions for nullsec or ab-neutrons for wh/low (dualrep each with med CB), there is a lot it can do outstandingly well.

If you're talking about PvE, then be informed that HACs are a huge waste of time for that. Eagle is crap at it once the first spiderdronel wrecks your day, 10mb bandwidth or what it has.
