Ah finally, thank you.

Spent 2 days trying to get the game to work, tried the offline download from CCP directly, but everytime internet drops even slightly it stops download and wont restart and the launcher is useless.

Thank god for torrents and thank you Tau for the resource and finally if it isnt Tau seeding thank you to the person seeding

I've contacted Chribba, and in the mean time have moved it into a ZIP file.

Wish transmission was a bit more friendlier on my NAS, fails catastrophically after a few days. i'll redo the plugin but in the meantime I'll donate this machine to help seed after downloading it

edit: plugin fixed after a stupid issue, new issue comes up with your torrent out of the others im doing "privacy: private to this tracker -- DHT and PEX disabled" preventing download

Room for rtorrent (uses XML-RPC and SCGI) and a rutorrent GUI (uses PHP)?

That's what I use, but my NAS is an eight core i7-4771 @ 3.5 GHz, with 32 GB memory, 36 TB of hardware RAID-6 storage (12 of 16 drive slots filled), and 256 GB SSD.

Then there are my USB3 enclosures: the backup one is 32 TB of software RAID-5. Have an unpopulated spare too.

One can never have enough storage Big smile

Gentle bump for this thread, as CCP no longer does regular releases of the offline client.

Example: the last release was over two months ago:

Galatea 1.1 (build 958007)
Released on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015.

This also makes me question the value of this service, and whether I should bother to continue.

Thoughts?

Does this mean the offline installer is obsolete?

mmh no

it just means that the latest offline will then download a few patch at firs run.

will they remove it totally? maybe.
will they update it if they keep it ? surely.

with more frequent "mini expansion" or "big patch", rebuilding a setup file of 10G+ is lot of work for something optional

that and new launcher coming, maybe they are waiting for new launcher to make a new offline release

who knows? ah yes ccp... go ask them

Was scratching my head, after having to re-install the EVE client, why it was taking so long to download the needed files. Glad someone is making a torrent of the needed files.

Thank you.

I downloaded the latest one, but getting a 2709 installer error. Torrent recheck and manual sum checks pass, I've also copied the entire folder on another drive, still the same error. Can't install the game from CCP as I get 30kb max from their servers(I wish I was kidding).

Is it a problem with the packages, the installer, or a CCP issue? Anyone else having problems?

Are you using the launcher to start EVE?

It has to update to December Release 1.1 (build 989866), which is not available as an off-line installer.

I will verify the installer to make sure that is not a problem.

I'm trying to do a fresh install, so no eve install is present. When I run the EVE_Online_Installer_Full_988883.msi it gives me an error code 2709. From what I can decipher, installer thinks there is a problem with a component inside C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\SharedCache\ResFiles\ff\ folder (the very last component).

I redownloaded the installer from CCP (took 40 minutes for 16mb what is wrong with servers), nothing's changed.

Will try redownloading the last payload, but it'll probably take a day from CCP servers :/
