Correct ship class for low-sec anomolies

Hello Eve-O,

I am a new player who is trying out different parts of Eve Online. Question to the group: what is the minimum ship class one should use for low-sec anomalies? I was thinking a cruiser like an Omen/Maller, is this correct? No idea as I've not done it before so any ideas would be great, thank you.

T1 Cruisers won't do it. Ishtar is the way to go. Then again, low sec ratting is basically suicide.

Why? most low sec systems I've visited were empty ... 0 on local.

Its not suicide but there are not corporation owned ihubs to respawn anomalies, so you ultimately need to move about to find anomalies, which eventually you'll find everyone else that is ratting also does.

I don't have to gate a nullsec ratting boat at all.

Its in the title and in the body :)

Also lowsec belt "ratting" is basically cruising about looking for the recently added NPCs that drop the tags for sec status, its not as bad as shooting NPC cruisers and 375k bounty BS for 6m an hour anymore.
