Just wondering what your guys thoughts would be on the new nightmare fit. Not for incursions though.

New nightmare = good. Fit an AB. Big smile

Besides that, there's not much to say. It's a little better, that low gives a few options, depending on your needs.

Lose the tech 2 heatsink, add 2x TE
Lose the cap booster the TC and add AB, 2 more hardeners .
Lose all 3 rigs add 2x CCC and tech 2 energy ROF rig.

More tank, More Damage, More Tracking, More speed
No reliance on cap booster.
Slightly less optimal (easily made up by carrying the correct crystals)

So 4 tachs 1 tractor
1 X-large
1 amp
4 hardeners
1 AB

3x heat sinks
3x TE

ROF rig
2x CCC.

That awkward moment at the Gentlemen's Club when you see your sister on the stage....and you're not sure where to put the money....

Maybe you were right...

Looks like the same old Nightmare with a 150% afterburner speed boost and an extra low slot... Might be interesting in PVP for those that can afford spending so much. I could see someone making use of this for missions with pulse lasers.

Edit: This is not a Minmatar derived ship so where does the speed thing come from? I'm just going from a storyline standpoint.

No idea. But I like it. I use a MWD Tach Nightmare right now. Being able to use a AB will nice...

Any 100mn AB that gives 140% base speed increase will move the Nightmare faster than a MWD. Use Implants that affect only AB speed and even cheaper AB's will be faster than a MWD on the 'Mare.

Edit: Assuming relevant skills to V

Edit2: For reference, a Tech II AB is 135%

FakeEdit3: Technically a 140% AB will move you as fast as a MWD. A 140.1% AB will move you faster.

The 6th low slot also means you might be able to armor tank it fairly effectively.

You get 23 more DPS using the ROF rig but then you don't have calibration to use the CCC rigs. Even if they fit you would only have 1 min 20 sec of cap

Since you lost the TC's you range went from 45 opt / 46 falloff to 39 opt/ 35 falloff


I like the idea of an AB especially with the new bonus coming out. I'm thinking a mega pulse AB fit

For shield tanks you can put on another TE or a CPR. For L4 armor tanking it is in my opinion it is still to slow, lacks a extra 25m³ drone bay for 3 sentry drones + 1 wing of light drones and a bit of cap to really become interesting compared to my mwd fitted navy Apoc. Currently it does like 200 dps more with a 2 slot armor tank with puls(at a lot less range with a lot less speed) or 50 dps less with tachs, while the cap cripples it to much for my liking. Also it is already at the limit with the power grid after 1 T2 locus rig, with energy weapon rigging 5 when I look at a setup what might be worth a try, what prevents more flexible turret rigging options. So it isn't really worth it in serious 2 slot tank armor setup, at least in my opinion, over the navy apoc(what is a lot cheaper in the hull and fitting) when you look for a fairly mobile max performance laser ship with maximum projection and damage application.

However the 6 low is fairly nice for both shield and armor NM in Incs.
