You have a girlfriend (hetero-relationship).

But your girlfriend also has a friend (girl) who is always talking down about you to your girl...almost as if she were jealous of the time you spend with her. Almost like she's trying to break you guys up.

What's up with that?

Unwritten rule among single guys is that "chicks come first." Ive never had a male friend get in the way of anything I wanted to do with a girl. If anything, they cheer you on hoping you'll score.

You have your own exact answer.

After Highschool I asked my friends after grad if it was worth it; after I told them that wonderful pretty bird boned off 8 ex BFs in the graduation class. I bet they regret those grad photos too... memories for life, priceless.

i've only ever interfered with a friends selection of boyfriend if i legitimately thought he was a douchebag. and even then i'd try to be discreet about it.

I will need a more detailed description of events in order to provide the correct response to your issue.

Your completely missing your opportunity to bag the both of them.

Jealously, your left hand is jealous because your right one is getting all the action Twisted

I had one of those too. That person was my wife's second cousin. I found out she had been trying to break us up for years before we got married.

We call her "redacted" now, she doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned.

Do you play EVE like a girl ...because um... you ARE a girl?

Do you know about the WGoE (Women Gamers of EVE) chat channel?

This is very common and I hate to say it but chances are you're screwed and not in a good way. Sometimes it happens because the girl thinks you're a douche and other times she's just jealous. A girls friends have more influence over her than you, her parents or anyone else. Not saying give up but you should address this with your girlfriend so it's at least in the open.

Something you will commonly experience in female friends of your female significant other in a heterosexual relationship: either you're not good enough for her and they try to talk her out of it, or you're good enough for her and they want you instead. Which is the case is hard to say without knowing more about you, but it's probably one of them and you're just going to put up with that if you're going to let your girlfriends have girl friends. Some guys take the alternate route of forcing their women to break ties with people they know, and keeping the girl at home and away from people as much as possible. It seems to work from a genetic standpoint; relationships like those generally result in babies. But both parties will be unhappy and will probably break up, and will have a very hard time taking care of the child. So I don't recommend that approach.

Just get used to it. Failing that, find a girlfriend who is the kind of person who only makes friends with open-minded and generally friendly people. They're out there but hard to find and, for most guys, hard to impress.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

...really? Blink

Without knowing the whole story, I'd also say: Talk with her about it... maybe you misunderstand the situation? How old are the girls in question, anyways? Sounds like there is much inescurity/maturity at play here...

eh, no...
The difference between men and women when friends come calling for advice:
Men suggest action - "do this" or "say that" - quick, simple decisive, one and done now lets get some beer
Women suggest communication - "talk about it" or "express how you feel" - sitting on the couch for hours debating in circles popping Midols like Pez candy trying to get rid of the mind numbing headache while she goes through endless boxes of tissues in an endless cry fest chugging bottles of wine and cookie dough...and never ever accomplishing or solving anything.

Suggesting "talking" makes you stand out like a sore thumb...either a woman or a very neutered male

It's all meant in humor though...Mars Vs Venus and all that
