The only thing that would keep me playing is a complete lack of progress in real life. Hopefully, marriage, children, and, you know, real life are more engaging over the long term than pixellated bullshit.

OMG , is this what we sound like before getting married and having kids ? lol.

Hint, when you reach my age, married (and in my case remarried) for years with teenaged children (and in my case, grown step children who themselves have children) and well established in a demanding career field, the even odds are you will just LOVE/CRAVE/NEED a distraction like EVE Online, if for nothing else but the maintenance of sanity.

Defiance

The tv series which also has a game based on it had players in the game direct the outcome of an episode by their actions in the game.

Too bad both the game and the series sucked badly.

skill queue online is awesome.

Would be nice if SP would build up and I could choose what to spend it on instead of dealing with the queue.

EVE staying casual. Doesn't look like it will though.

But I'll wait and see, how the industry changes work out until the end of this year.

Making it so I can anchor a POS anywhere and greatly simplifying the UI (as well as) some kind of team based industry function?

Please, tell me what changes are making it impossible for you to casually play. From what I see, this will make me change training direction of one of my toons to go back to industry. Something I have hated because of how tedius everything is.

Let's go a little deeper here: If I'm lazy (or casual, no dig, but it sometimes has similar consequences), I don't ever have to look for an un-occupied manufacturing facility - I just get to pick one and pay more in taxes. From what I can tell the accessability will be much better for all parts of industry.

What it sounds like you're complaining about is that the NPC station you've lived at in the middle of nowhere will now not be the optimal research, production, and refining facility it once was.

Now CCP - onto NPC corps!

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. I've always been supporting POS based industry on these forums. Actually I've been runnning a large research tower myself.

And no, I do not think it's going to be less tedious in future. Just different.

Confirmed.
Badly balanced gameplay full of griefers and scammers.
Broken mechanics.
Crap leveling system.
You think grinding to plex an account and two alts is hard, wait for the wife/partner and two kids.
More grinding than eve could ever put you through.
Way more idiots, that you have to put up with.

The graphics are stunning though, so there's that.

The Summer Expansion approaches and imho, the endless ship rebalancing program and the “Building better Worlds” announcement is all very nice, but does anyone else feel the frustration and want something new? – some actual new content?

I agree that some things need fixing… but if you could have some brand new content what would it be?

Over the next 10 years? ...or you mean right now? Right now I want them to focus on fixing the game as they have been doing. The faster the better, then they can get to huge eye candy content all the sooner. The old cycle of tossing in new content to just leave as old broken content, I hope is dead.

In the meantime, maybe they could start doing Live Eve Events more often, it doesn't take much development resource to do that. It doesn't need to be fancy, nor loaded with rewards, just some basic organizational efforts to get various things in motion.

I'm in it for the money

Well first of all, I just hope the game lasts that long.

Secondly, they need to commit to the game, not the little extraneous crap that keeps cropping up that is unrelated to EVE. That means they need to scrap WiS, among other things.

They also need to get rid of the immergence breaking, binary features in the game. CONCORD being chief among them. As far as a "solution" to highsec aggression goes, it is heavy handed and smothers potential gameplay and mechanic improvements by virture of it existing in the first place.

The last and most important thing is that they MUST update the outdated mechanics in the game. Drones are disgracefully out of date, the POS system is one of the worst mechanics in gaming, and Sov needs fixed desperately. 2 of those are technical limitations, which are presently rendered unfixable largely by neglect. Which is where the "stop wasting time on things that aren't EVE" comes into place. Just think what they could have done with all that dev time in Incarna if they hadn't wasted it on nonsense features.

Will there still be unlicensed mining in hisec? The I will still be playing. Once all of hisec has been subjugated to the New Order I plan on buying a nice wormhole somewhere and retiring. Maybe do some mission baiting occasionally for fun.

You should get as high of a C level as you can that still has a highsec static. That way, whichever system you pop up in will feel your wrath, like your own personal Incursion.

Essentials:
A full and total revamp of the sovereignty mechanics, getting rid of the structure grind in favour of mechanics that require corps and alliances to actually use or lose the space they're claiming.

A full and total revamp of nullsec logistics including both outposts and POS, reducing both the costs of and restrictions to deploying nullsec infrastructure in order to allow alliances to ultimately operate autonomously if they develop a sufficient industrial base to do so.

The complete removal of the jump mechanic, no jump bridges, no jump drives. All ship movement to be done via gates, integrate warp to 0 into the autopilot.

These changes allow (indeed they require) actual occupation and utilisation of nullsec by those that would claim it, while limiting them to only being able to claim that space which they can actually defend without the ability to traverse the entire map in a matter of minutes.

Nice to haves:
A full and total revamp of resource (both ISK and material) production across the board, There currently exist a variety of systems for producing resources ranging from those requiring near total player attention to those that are almost totally passive, the main issue being those requiring the most attention are some of the most boring and least rewarding activities in the entire game.

A full and total revamp of the entire spectrum of PvE content, from lvl1 missions to 10/10 complexes and incursions from +1 all the way to-1 sec. All with the end goal of making said PvE content both challenging and unpredictable at all skill and equipment levels across Eve.

The conversion of Dust 514 to the PC and its full integration into the Eve client to the point that characters can freely swap between the two, the idea that people who don't play Eve can have any meaningful impact upon it is no less bad now than when it was first conceived. Further development to expand the scope and scale of ground combat operations within the Eve Universe.

I'd agree with the removal of jump bridges whether from a pos bridge or a titan bridge, this has actually made players to lazy and complain about long trips. "integrate warp to 0 into the autopilot" confirms my point on that. I personally would love to see those players myself do 100 jumps in a freighter to see how they would feel after that.

There is a lot of things I'd love to see done but I know that a lot of people on the forum's would be against it and some of it wouldn't even be considered considering it would mess with ccp's income too. (notice I said on the forums) since not all of the eve populace even bother reading the forums.

Sov mechanics do need a complete overhaul
pve content needs readdressing including increasing the amount of missions available while leaving level 1 missions alone to help build players up to gain a little more experience before proceeding onto the next level's.
redoing the game code so that its possible to do more things in the game without the current drawbacks / tidi issues.
new content to give the game more life

I'll disagree with your second point. I think for some, making WiS better and actually work would be a huge improvement to the game. Sometimes, if all I am doing is sitting in a station and recruiting, or chatting in corp, or coordinating alliance, I would rathr walk my char to a bar and drink or gamble, or emote then spin my ship round and round. That would make the 'i'm chilling' game play more enjoyable. They should allow space barbies to actually happen, esp if the competition get it out, but do it well and complete it.

Also not sure why you think Concord is game breaking. Why wouldn't the empires have a joint police force to deal with idiots in there systems? Or they could just replace concord with the faction navy.

Though, if they allowed players to form there own version of concord and police systems themselves, while making it easier to respond, that could be interesting.

The history, the drama, waiting for the next shoe to drop. Remember EVE is not just a game its a SiFi hobby full people around the planet.

1. RTS on the planets and moons would be nice, EVE players only.
2. Greater complexity of strategy.
3. Don't loose the core values.

Empire, the next new world order.
