Well it's obvious, you need a Megathron, a two-bump lego and a box of dates.

Honestly I quite like that imgur pic. If the show info is just a list still I will be fine with this change.

Well for example one of his complaints is that text indicating the name of a required material or component is completely missing.

If you think that having to memorize the icons for every single build material is good UI design then I seriously hope you never get a job in UI design.

It really shouldn't even require a mouseover - I shouldn't have to do extra work to get information that should be presented right in front of me.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Seriously? You guys are going the exact opposite direction you should be with the UI. The grid-like nature of the UI is wonderful. This whole fancy, big graphic, big icon non-sense is meant for smart phones, not EVE online. We get it, it looks cool. We don't care. Give us raw information, leave the fancy crap for WoW players.

Look at the materials required in that blueprint. It's just icons. I guess it's time to memorize the icons of every single material used in the game unless I want to mouse-over them each time to see a readout.

Please speak to your UI team and inform them the grid-like nature of the UI is one of the things that make it good, and they are constantly F'ing it up each update. We understand it looks like crappy accounting software, but it works.

We wanted less clicks and more customization, and you've responded by reducing all the information on the screen into icons and sleek looking graphics. BAH.

Shut up, sit down, and Google the word "luddite".

Considering the current trends in UI design (*cough* Windows 8), I'm not sure he can do much worse Big smile

You use the word "us" and "We" as if others think like you.

Please do not include "us" and "we" in your opinions.

My sensors detect within this caravan trail of debate ideas associated with those that view the world suffused in pale crimson...

I shall shake my head in sorrow for those that disregard immediatly and without clear intention their disinclination towards the New Model UI, which within the purview of my own personal opinon, is infact a step forward towards a clearer and demonstrably more effective interface for the general user, rather than one being retained for the sole useage towards those that advocate nil-change.

For those that have replied in a reasonable and sound manner my argument towards you is this: the current Classic UI is indeed requiring a serious case of design overhaul - Yes, you may have be able to navigate your way around the design as current, but optimising it further will allow you to perform more actions within a reduced time frame, alloting more time to what you will enjoy more: Making the Stellar Vessels around you vent into the void in a rapid and explosive manner.

I think you need to put down that thesaurus before brains start exploding.

CCP keeps old UI, people cry for change.

CCP makes new UI, people cry because it changed.

CCP, nerf people.

I'll reserve my judgement on it's usefullness. It sure looks nice though. More immersive. I'd trade some clarity for immersion, I don't find Excell very inspiring to be honest. To bad I'll only use it from time to time as I have lousy indy skills. Am going to fiddle with invention again probably, anything new needs to be tinkered with ofc. Lol

Or I could just committed to the act of verbosity more than others.

I don't suspect "hey what's that icon" will be an issue for anyone who has even looked into T2 manufacturing. Barring some sort of neurological disorder....

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

The only thing, that piques my curiosity on that interface is the icon with those three folks at the top.

Remove standings and insurance.
