Would it really break the game?

What exactly would they add that would not be better served by new or existing skills?

I mean just add one more level to current skills.

I think some old vets would do it.

Freighter VI would allow Charons to carry capitals into highsec. Not that I am opposed to that, but it would break the current game from the standpoint of the ban on capitals in highsec.

I think it would be of little import otherwise. If you carry out the same ratio of time per level then level six skills would take months to train, for a single one. It is hard to imagine anyone amassing a meaningful amount of level six skills at that rate for a good long while.

No.

Giving idiots more "skill" when they can barely get to the short strokes in PVP as it is.... madness.

... would prefer to have a new skill called "New Pilot Assimilation", where the freshly minted nubbins coming into the game are assigned to a mentor with said skill, for a minimum of one month, for truly right and proper "training".

I keep the proper "accoutrements" handy for just such occassions. Twisted

Exactly this. one would then have to have 10, not 6.
10 is more of 'balanced' and rounded number. Blink

Oh yes. 1.4 billion SP for a rank-1 skill. Lol
With some 1700 ranks in the game, that would make the game last for 109,000 years.

For those that are skill oriented, it would set new goals.

For those with patience, rewards for the long training wait.

Expanded player ability, even if by 1% or 5% will mean an expanded universe overall.

Firstly, may your soul burn in the fires of damnation. (I'm pretty sure that doesn't fit the requirement of a physical threat against someone, i.e. it's akin to telling a player to "die in a fire in game" and not to "die in a fire.")

Also, we already effectively have Level VI skills (actually Level X.) The "advanced" versions of some skills (e.g. Spaceship Command and Advanced Spaceship Command) more than fulfill the idea of a "Level VI" skill, but more importantly, provide more value than a Level VI skill would.

Long term gameplay.

Ideally we could bring back learning skills so that the hard core min maxers will pull their hair out waiting for them to all train to level 6 so they won't "lose skillpoints" when they train for their first cruiser.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Adding 1 or 5 lvls to every skill does not mean expanding the universe.
it just means more time sinks in skills any why their are people in game v
with every skill like me , no one is near maxing every skill to warrent that change.
the only people like that are so specialized they get bored easily

Ugh, one based people are the worst.

Skills start at 0, and with the "advanced" versions of skills, that means they go from 0 to X (0-V + I-V), i.e. there are 11 levels of skill. Or is it 12 level of skill? (0-V + 0-V)

Also what is zero in Roman numerals?

Romans lacked the intelligence for the number 0 so they have no such numeral.

They sometimes called it "nulla" which means none in Latin.

Maxing every skill is not the goal of this game.

Commerce would expand with increased trade traffic. The universe would expand with faster travel speeds.
Combat would expand with greater destructive powers vs greater defensive powers.

And this is the part CCP would love:
The OCD people would stay subbed longer just to complete those hard to finish Level VI skills + the bragging rights.
