I find the misogynistic comments in this thread reprehensible.

Implying that exotic dance students have no opinions worth hearing, that they are intellectually inferior and so on and so forth.

Shame on all of you.

Heretic, eight exotic dance students are mentioned in the article, only one is specifically identified as being female (in referencing "her" friend). Methinks you are making presumptions. Who's the ...ummm however it's spelled.... now?

God has given all Pleasure Hub workers over to destruction. Including Exotic Dancers. Exotic dancers of BOTH genders, for a holy and righteous God sees the sins of Male Exotic Dancers no less worthy of punishment than the sins of Female Exotic Dancers.

And so when I have destroyed Pleasure Hubs and sacrificed all their workers unto a holy and righteous God, I have sacrificed both Male Exotic Dancers and Female Exotic Dancers and taken their blood. And all who hear these words should do the same. Amen. Amarr Victor.

You do know that exotic means strange, foreign or non native, right? Not sexual. A traditional Amarrian dance would be considered exotic in another culture. So you are condemning all dancers living abroad to death.

In any case, dance and art is a chimera. The materials you make it from are irrelevant, like .... umm, statistics and demographics.

Yeah, like, a degree in Exotic Dance is like, totally as academically rigorous as like, a degree in something like Mechanical Engineering, because like, I should know, I have both.

People totally assume that all there is to exotic dance is like, taking clothes off to music.

There's totally a whole lot more. History, theory, applications to different cultures, all that.

Well, the University of Caille certainly does have more functional courses with a wider range of applications, graduates of which are in higher demand among a larger spectrum of jobs, but I wouldn't wish to imply that there's no use for a bachelors degree in Art.

It looks very pretty when you hang it on a wall.

You could have shortened that to "Nauplius condemns everyone to death."

No, he would let some survive, as long as they recognize him as the avatar of God and drink blood with him. ( A stupidly small demographic, but not quite everyone )

I have Read an interesting Book that was titled "The Use of Exotic Dance as an Instrument of Foreign Policy in the Modern Federate Era".

It was About how Exotic Dance was used to assert Control over newly Populated systems, by ensuring Strong Cultural Bonds with the Federation, as colonists would Look to Luminaire for new cultural items, rather than Elsewhere.

Synthia 1, Empress of Kaztropol.

It is Written.

Because it's true.

Umm... its not just the art students... pretty much the entire student body...

It's the only way they can afford the University tuition.

Yes, in the process of designing and implementing the information and control systems of starships, a soldering iron is occasionally used.

It was a amusing exhibition… when one remembers that, “life imitates art far more than art imitates life.”

I thought I'd also add that putting Drone AI technology into artwork is insane! You realize that most drones hate us right? As some have already grown sentient, formed their own hostile colonies I would think that was proof enough that they were dangerous... however, this takes it to the next level.

Fast forward to the future... not only will we have 'rogue drone' attacks in space but we're going to be assaulted by 'rogue artwork' in our city streets!

Statues going crazy. Paintings smothering humans. Madness!

There's a movie script in there somewhere. A B-list movie script, but movie script none the less.
