When you don't get paid suddenly it turns out the customer is pretty much never right and just shut up about professionalism in a channel where people go to pretend they're in space.

Best quote of the ******* year so far. I love it.

From the butthurt carebear to the bloodthirsty PVPer to the bloggers, we're all RPers in EVE. From Gevlon to Mittens to James 315, we're all playing out our roles.

gevlon was playing this role long before he joined eve, though

This thread reminds me of how sometimes people will post about how they don't like EVEMON or EFT (you know, free out of game tools that have zip to do with CCP but for which some people act like they are owed 'answers' about things they don't like about them).

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but has anyone suggested to the OP that he simply not visit that channel and perhaps consider starting his own since it bothers him so much? Or can I be the 1st?

For the clarification of everyone else replying, the OP is not complaining about a GM. "Summit" is a player-run RP channel, and thus the OP is complaining that a player moderating said channel took actions that they found to be inappropriate.
So uh... bummer? The fact that it's a player run channel makes your whole comparison to ~business~ and so forth fall flat. And with the clarification of what this is actually about I very much doubt you'll find many people who care.
e: Beaten on clarification, rest of the point stands though.
Despite your air of authoritative self-importance, and even with your attempt at elucidation, the relevance of the OP to this particular forum is ZERO. ZIP. NADA. Player-run channel. Player running channel offends player using channel - draws a large "So what?" with a sprinkling of "who cares?" Obviously those involved do, however, these do not reach the elevation of being relevant to this forum and its users.

The OP wins a whopping two Yawns. yawn yawn

This CSM supportive post earns a staggering four Yawns.

yawn yawn yawn yaAAAAAWWWwwnnn. *scratch*

and a scratch. Have a nice day.

I figured that was the first thing the OP should have considered, seeing as he worked in customer service he must know how often people leave when they don't like something.

The closing sentence of my initial message states that I did precisely that. I'm currently using CCP's 'official' Intergalactic Summit channels.

My father is fond of saying 'If you're not happy, tell your friends'. Someone that had a good experience will tell three people, while someone who had a bad experience will tell thirty.
