The engine trails are really too smooth and too sharp at the edges. They should have some texture which is fix in space so it really looks like the ship are leaving something behind.

Just posting to say, that while I don't like the appearance of the (currently unfinished?) trail-tubes; as they are at the moment. I still think they're useful as a visual guide, and so for me, the ideal solution would be to have two separate check-boxes for the effect...

1. View own trails <-- I'd definitely switch that OFF
2. View other trails <-- I'd almost certainly leave that ON

Weird that we're getting better immersion in some aspects of the game, such as the nebulas, star locations and gate orientation then these weirdly graphically out of place engine 'TAILS' as they were labelled on the previous page are being put in. If they actually looked like exhaust, such as in the Jupiter Incident video posted on the previous page, then I might consider leaving them on, indeed...

The engine trails, just like the cyno, have the same bland, boring and uninspired simple colour fade. I'm sorry but that's too easy and while I'm sure many of the players in EVE adopt the 5 yearold "oooh free cookie" approach, I would have expected CCP learned from past experience when it comes to introducing unfinished mediocre stuff. Right now it looks like the the DEV responsible either lacked the interest, the time, the tools and/or the talent to make something worthy of this MMO.

PLEASE take the time to do it right, I'd much rather have you delay by a couple of week to cram as much awesome as you possibly can into it before you should present it to us and then go "this is the very best we can do, took us ages but god damn we're proud of it. I'm sure it was worth the wait", rather that "here's some scribblings we pooped out on a Monday morning, now be grateful for the next 2 years cause we won't touch that **** for at least that long".

Dude, in the last 2 months, they did more than they did during the previous year. How is that a bad thing that they add new stuff in great quantities ?

Looks like a pretty good job (It doesn't erase the past mistakes, but hey, they can't go back in time, we won't stay perpetually angry at them are we ?).

Ah the quantity over quality approach; "we get lots of stuff thus it's ok it it's not all that well thought out". No, I do appreciate all the effort they're putting in but that doesn't mean I'll accept them doing half arsed stuff again. I'd like them to take the time to do it right rather than do it quickly, CCP's Achilles' heel always has been introducing half completed stuff/expansions, that's what GOT us into this whole trouble.

Don't mistake me being angry over the :18 months: and still taking it out on them, I'm not. Actually, I'm voicing my concern that I possibly see the same old pattern arise again. I would want them to adhere to the "it's done when it's done, and it's only done when it's truly awesome", rather than "must complete before a set date because we said so and we're afraid people might dislike us for it if we don't make it, even thought it's not actually fully done or up to standards".

Just for any passing CCP duder: this sperger doesn't represent what the majority think
