"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the week 14/2014 can be found here. Available is also the overview 2014

  • CCP Announces Online Streaming Plans for EVE Fanfest
    • CCP will be live streaming the tenth EVE Fanfest in standard definition for free on the Twitch.TV channel and in high definition for a one-time fee of $19.95 USD or one PLEX (you can purchase the HD stream at the account management). Included in the HD stream are also various digital items. If you cannot visit Fanfest, you still can enjoy it in high quality.

  • Developer Spotlight: BasementBen - Forum discussion
    • The Developer Spotlights by CCP Eterne feature each a CCP developer and supplies you with a lot of interesting background and personal information. This third developer spotlight features the Art manager for EVE Development, CCP BasementBen. Don't miss this exciting spotlight!

  • This is (Team) Security - Forum discussion
    • CCP Bugartist, the Director of Information Security, comes forward with this new dev blog to update everyone on what's going on on the security front! Learn more about Team Security and their fight for good in this blog, which includes of course also a graph!

  • CSM9 Voting is Now Open - Forum discussion
    • The voting for the 9th Council of Stellar Management is open from April 8 to April 22. Please inform yourself about the candidates and then vote! A nice voting tool, EVE Vote Match 2.1 operated by Dierdra Vaal, is available here.

  • CSM8 - Second Summit Minutes - Forum discussion
    • The 8th Council of Stellar Management (CSM8) and CCP had their second scheduled summit in the middle of January, 2014. A wide variety of topics were discussed during the summit in Reykjavik. The full meeting minutes can be found here.

  • New Cruiser Skins Are Coming!
    • Four new cruiser skins will be made available in the weeks before Fanfest - one new skin is introduced per week. The first skin, the Stabber Krusual Edition, is already published. Skins for the Caracal, Omen and Thorax will come to New Eden and will be available in the NeX Store in the coming weeks.

  • FanFest HD Stream now on sale!
    • FanFest 2014 is going to be packed with panels, presentations, tournaments, science lectures and much more! If you cannot visit Fanfest, but still want to participate and learn about the latest development, just tune into the live stream. The regular version of the stream will be free on CCP's twitch.tv channel; the HD stream will cost either $19.95 or 1 PLEX and can be purchased here.     • Ishukone administrators announce Arcurio takeover bid
      • The Ishukone Corporation has revealed the finalization of talks with representatives from Material Acquisiton and the Gallente Senate, with a view to returning the city of Arcurio to Caldari administration. The city remains the only one of the three largest cities on Caldari Prime not under Caldari administration. The announcement has been hailed across the State after several difficult weeks for Ishukone’s leadership under the scrutiny of the Chief Executive Panel.

    • Ishukone executives called to Chief Executive Panel hearing
      • Nugoeihuvi News has confirmed that the presence of Ishukone CEO and the corporation’s Board of Directors has been demanded in a CEP hearing to take place this evening. The demand, believed to be the first of its kind issued in over two decades, centers around allegations of corruption and inappropriate foreign relations. Ishukone released a response to its employees this afternoon, reassuring their workforce that "these malicious and completely baseless accusations will be proven to be just that".

    Thank you for another great bit of news reporting.

    CCP's sand box is EVE Online.  The sand is owned by CCP.  We pay them a monthly fee to throw the sand at each other.  That is all that is here, so move along. Nothing more to be seen.
