Just take note though that some I fought some dual MASB sabres that are a bit hard to kill. Make sure your RLML has enough burst DPS to kill it before he reps back up while you reload. A suggestion from me is a double web thorax with blasters.

Their op bubbles are nothing compared to the fact you can warp cloaked...

The best way is get them to agress a noob ship or something then roll in with some dps! A cynabal is always fun!

There are a whole bunch of cheap, easy to fit roaming ships that can dunk all over a Sabre or any other Interdictor, but if you jump into a Sabre cloaked 2km off a gate with a ship that screams "I am here to kill Sabres", they're just going to stay cloaked and let you leave. They control whether the engagement happens; you probably won't even know they're there, and even if you somehow find them all they have to do is jump back through the gate when you attack them (I have no idea what that Broski guy decided attacking a Blaster Thorax in a Sabre was a good idea). Thus, if you want to kill them, you have to make them think they can kill you, so you need to use ships that look like prey instead of predators.


I should warn you, though, that if your plan is just to roam around nullsec by yourself waiting for lone Sabres to feed themselves to you, the much more likely scenario is that you are going to jump into a larger gatecamp and die.


EDIT: Also stop filling all your low slots with WCS: as you may have noticed by now, they are not particularly helpful in Null.

DOUBLE EDIT: You can activate your MWD for one cycle while cloaked if you hit it immediately after activating your cloak. In a Covops, this one cycle can scoot you a good 20km or so, which is enough to coast out of a single bubble, make the enemies lose track of your position and miss their decloak attempts, or hedge your bets and crash back to the gate. If you see an Interdictor on gate when you jump in or even suspect there might be one cloaked waiting for you, always use this trick instead of trying to warp out directly. Putting agility mods in your lowslots instead of WCS will make it more effective.

Even though this is close to a necro, when reading your comment I just thought this.

The option here is to run a battle explorer. Each one of the T1 exploration frigates can get a decent amount of dps and have a lot of mid slots for range control, which is essential for killing those pesky little DICs (pun very much intended ). However, the best for the job is most likely the heron due it having 5 mid slots.

The fun thing is you can carry around a mobile depot so you can fly through gates combat fit and then switch to real exploration when you've found a system with signatures.

With this fit you should be able to effectively troll a solo sabre looking for easy ganks. When you jump through the gate, hold your cloak (especially if he has already dropped a bubble) to make it look like you're scared. Then play dumb and hit your AB and align away from him and the gate (you need to pull him as far away from the gate as possible). Overheat your scram and web, wait for him to mwd towards you. Web him at 13km to start slowing his momentum, scram him at 10.8km, and activate your TD's. Settle into your range of 8-8.25km (use keep at range setting to make sure you or him don't coast out of point range). Then laugh as he can't hit you and slowly drop him (with barrage loaded, a sabre might be able to hit you for 20-25 a volley which is easily tankable with an aar without paste loaded)
