Utility highs for mission Paladin.

If you have a dedicated Salvage/loot alt, what do you put in your extra 3 high slots? I have zero cap issues, so NOS would be a waste. Smart bombs sound fun but I would probably pop my own drones or get concorded. I might find the odd use of a drone range augmenter, but that still leaves 2 open slots...

I really wish there was a high slot version of a web or something useful.

Maybe keep a tractor beam for those times a mission requires something to be looted to complete.

But is there anything I'm not thinking of that could actually increase my damage or mission speed in some way?

If you dont want to put tractors there, you can add small or medium rr for your drones, Auto targeting system II for +3 locked targets (i dont remember how well the lockback worked, but the +3 targets is nice if you have the skill to use it) , and of course the drone range upgrade.

there is really not much other then that

How do you have your ship fitted currently? I'd say put a NOS in the high(s) and swap around some of your mid or low slot modules. If you have capacitor power relay's or power diagnostics in the lows, swap them for heat sinks. If you have cap rechargers in mid, swap for tracking computer.

4x mega pulse II
1x bastion
3x empty

1x mwd
1x sensor booster / sig res script
2x TC/optimal script (tracking scripts in hold)

1x med deadspace repper
2x enam
4x heat sinks

1x tech II laser ROF rig
1x tech 1 CCC rig

I sometimes use Tachs, but for the most part I'd rather use my Rattlesnake w/ sentries in the missions where Tachs would be useful.

You could put tractors only, and drag your wrecks into a pile for faster salvage later.
1 large RR Armor.

I really don't like drone augmenters. I don't want my wrecks 'way out there'. I let rats close in before I kill them so salvaging is easier. (When I salvage)

You could also be more selective and just salvage big ships only with the Pally. Blitz missions and skip the little salvage = more LP.

I would agree with the above. Put on tractor beams to make it easier to salvage. I'd also suggest using a large armor rep. Extra tank capability is always nice.

My MAR reps nearly 1,200 armor with bastion turn on, and I rarely have to turn it on for more than 1 or 2 cycles a pocket.

I drop an MTU every pocket and book mark it. By the time I warp back all my wrecks are in a nice little ball 2-3km from it.

Can't hurt to fit 1 heavy nos in case you want to stick around a bit longer and/or you're dealing with blood raiders.

By "extra tank capability" I was less referring to mission rats and more referring to mission gankers.

I think RR for the drones, tractor for stray cans or to loose mission completion items...and a just for the hell of it NOS?

Or maybe 1x armor RR and 1x hull RR and 1x tractor?

True, but wouldn't a bigger rep just be even more of an expensive gank magnet?

I think mine is a c-type that I only paid 100m or so (i think, can't remember)

If I took only a tech II large I would have about the same repping ability as my dead-space medium.

think faction rather than dead space, and a dcuII will offset the cost of ganking you considerably.

Here's the details for comparison:

Centum C-type Medium Armor Repairer
Repair per cycle = 455
Cycle time = 12 sec
Repair per sec = 37.92

Large Armor Repairer II
Repair per cycle = 920
Cycle time = 15 sec
Repair per sec = 61.33

So the T2 large rep will give you 62% higher rep/sec than the c-type medium.

EDIT: Stats above are base values (no skills applied).

Did they buff LAR's since I have been out of game these last 2 years? Or maybe when I bought the medium deadspace I was thinking more about cap/rep ratio. Especially since it does tank plenty for every level 4 I've done with it.

I'm not sure if they've changed the stats. As for cap/rep ratio, the large uses 0.03 more cap per armor hitpoint (~10%). Just put a NOS in the high and you've far overcome the additional 10%.

For my MJD setup the only thing I use is a tractor beam to pick up the mission item. You could in theory use a MTU and fit 3 salvagers but it seems pointless seeing how slow both the MTU and unbonused salvagers on the Paladin are.

I use a LAR because I prefer the extra rep in case I screw up over the convenience of not having to turn a repper on and off when needed. If you're trying to GTFO you might need a cycle of non Bastion bonused rep while your ship slowly aligns to warp.

Considering you use a MAR and only have an MWD I'm curious why you don't just fit an MJD as well?

I used to fit a probe launch to scan for good sites while missioning, although with the changes to exploration in highsec its prolly not worth it.

Maybe 2 drone links + tractor.

Forgot about that, that's not a bad idea.
