OP took the wrong path. She should have made an inflammatory blog post relating the botting to torture and physical assault.

That's how you get people banned.

CCP has better things to do than deal with a simple annoyance when there are real petitions that deserve attention.

These are the weirdest tears ever.

I do agree with the hopeless crusade OP leads in order to guide legit scamers to rethoric radiance in trade hubs .

These are the weirdest tears ever.

Such as a pirate that gets mad for losing a ship and taking up a reimbursement petition slot that only affects him, compared to the bot that annoys multiple pilots... I for one, wish CCP could attend to both our needs since they both serve a purpose.

Your mistake, OP, was posting this here.

Instead, you should have contacted Ripard Teg, and had him feature this blatant bot on his blog.

Swift justice would have surely ensued.

Would this be a job for Special Victims Unit Teg, Certified Space Lawyer Teg, or Investigative Reporter and host of FoxNews24 RIpard Teg?

Or are we going to need him to reprise his role as Ripard Teg, Dog Catcher?

It's so hard to keep track sometimes

bingo, as long as CCP makes money on it, they will turn a blind eye...

Notice when the isk farmers started cutting into their real money, how fast they disappeared and how heavy the hammer was that came down.

I just wish they would quit the façade and just remove the bot prohibition from the EULA... It's roundly ignored, by both the botters and CCP

25 days after making this original thread with supporting evidence the aforementioned player is still posting every 38 seconds in Amarr local for 15 hours + a day.

An amazing feat for a human being to post on cue every 38 seconds for such a prolonged period of time, no sarcasm intended.

If anything, this clear and blatant botting and subsequent inaction by CCP might suggest they value subscription cash over obvious Eula violations.

Clearly it's the Wild West as far as far as regulation goes.

Use a bot to spam every 38 seconds in a system. No big deal if it pays for the whisky at the saloon.

Do something that causes a gunfight and all of a sudden the rules of the saloon apply?

Double standards and inconsistency.

So you are saying that clear botting and the fact that CCP seem to let some of it slide is okay in light of the fact they enforce other aspects is fine?

If i was working at CCP i should offset many reports of a player posting every 38 seconds in a particular channel if other players reported such activities if my boss told me their sub cash was keeping the company afloat?

The fact this player continues to post every 38 seconds should embarass CCP since they let it continue

No, I am not. I dislike bots.

But honestly, id rather they focus on the bots that hurt the game, such as miner bots, that devalue everything produced in EvE. That hurts the game.

But the one you are so very angry about (if your not trolling, and if you are, +1), is just annoying. Block it and be done with it. Its a trade hub local chat... what exactly do you think your missing out on?

Prob a troll.

CCP continue to let a bot post every 38 seconds in amarr local despite so many bot report submissions with clear evidence to augment these allegations

25 days later, even Chribba posting in this thread

It is actually quite comical and one can only but suggest it must be reflective of the current state of internal affairs if players who report others for clear breaches of the eula are ignored by CCP.

A sad state of affairs.

I have to agree with op on this one. A bot is a bot period. Just because its a chat spam not doesn't make it any less a EULA violation. Scamming aside it would still hold true if it was a bot that just said Amarr sucks every 38 seconds. And again since CCP allows scamming its just as bad for people scammers as mining and combat bots are to people that mine or mission or rat within the rules.

I'm confused - are you trying to say this guy's a bot?

If that is what you're trying to say, give up.
We don't care and apparently CCP doesn't care. There is a whole wide world out there.. Be free

33. Posting of chat logs outside the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

The posting of chat logs between player parties is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel where they can be posted as part of stories in the Pirate Story Thread.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.

OP cleaned up as per the above.

If you believe you have spotted a bot, the appropriate action is not to start a witch hunt on the forums, but to report the bot in-game with the Report Bot function. Open their character "Show Info" window, click the menu button in the top left, and select Report Bot. Since the thread is not appropriate here, it is locked.
