The asymmatry does exactly the right thing: it says it is a Caldari ship. It's a killing machine.

Chasing after some useless beauty is for the Gellante.

The Raven is doing fine. It is doing a very good job actually because of its ICONIC status it has gained.

It shall not be changed.

The scorpion on the other hand was a failue.

I was hoping the new Raven would look more like a ship. instead it's pretty much the same random looking clump of space junk.

I'm only familiar with Gallente ships, but this is an issue for all races, so...

Symmetrical ships with good design are nice,


Symmetrical ships with bad/ugly design are ugly,

Symmetrical ships with some Asymmetrical parts are best... IF THEY MAKE SENSE
The Thorax, would be a good example, but with it's giant hair drier welded at the bottom? fail

The Exequror.... a nice symmetrical hull with yet again, asymmetrical engine layout... fail. Where they still designing this thing after it was already build but had major issues balancing the thrust? Seams more like Minmatar design to me.

Asymmetrical ships that are properly balanced and make sense are good.

The Catalyst seems to be a good example.
The Imicus on the other hand is... fail


As for the Raven. At first glace, this ship comes off as an ECM ship. With all those massive antennas and lack of a weapons platform, I would expect this ship to perma jam and hack my ships computers before thinking it might fire a missile at me.
Maybe try balancing the ship out with a massive missile launch bay on that stubby wing. And maybe save the massive antennas for an ECM variation of that hull?
