Shooting incident at Fort Hood
UPDATE: Fort Hood's Directorate of Emergency Services has an initial report that a shooter is dead but this is unconfirmed.
The injured personnel are being transported to Carl R. Darnall Medical Center and other local hospitals. Numerous law enforcement agencies are in support and on the scene. The number of injured are not confirmed at this time. No further details are known at this time. There has been a shooting at Fort Hood and injuries are reported. Emergency crews are on the scene. No further details are known at this time. As further details are available, they will be released through FortHoodPressCenter.com.

Oh man, another one at Ft. Hood. Keeping in the thoughts. (BTW, I grew up near Hood, in Temple and Belton).

The guy was even responsible enough to be seeking treatment for his condition and all that which is great.

Mayhaps the military should forbid those with known conditions, even in treatment, from admission to the bases proper.

It's not that hard to keep specific people off-base.

But then my father was career Army, retiring as full Colonel, and I know very well how half-a**ed military operations and policies can be.

That stuff makes a lot of people do really crazy things out of the blue. AND THEY KNEW he was using it.
