I see that the Supervillain category is mysteriously absent from this survey....



I guess not everyone in New Eden can have a Amamake asteroid volcano lair with a CCP Dev hanging upside down over a pool of ill tempered space sea bass while he sits in his magnificently adourned seat of power and monologues while a large over the top laser moves unnecessarily slow towards the trapped Dev because for some reason shooting him didn't seem like a great option to dispose of him and his second in command has second thoughts at the last moment and ends up shooting him while taking a bullet heroically for the girl, who has fallen in love with the second in command even after he was the one who masterminded her kidnapping and interrogation and the Dev escapes at the last possible second before the laser touches him and the Dev and girl fly off in a pilfered Catalyst before the asteroid self destructs in the background.

Its all about presentation baby.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

By my math, 40M would have been about 500 BPOs. A chore to be certain, but certainly within the realm of possible.

That must be the heavily censored version of his initial reaction...

We used to tell all the new fish passing through one of his gate camps to be on the lookout, and to be sure to chat him up in local if they wanted a reeeeally good deal on a TB BPO. Big smile

Some of the local chat that ensued afterwards (while very lolworthy) could make a person with Tourette's Syndrome cringe.

villains: any ISDs who hand out wrong/misleading/blatantly biased information in new player chat.



(edit: I started playing EVE in the late summer of 2008 and spent my first weeks in University of Caille. Andrea Griffin was the one person in npc corp chat who seemed to give consistently good and friendly advice, I still remember her name 5.5 years later.

Please be helpful to rookies - you may not see the fruits of your labor very often but you will be remembered.)

Heroes: Pell Helix and SYJ for helping protect Hero Coalition. Also, James 315 for instituting law in a formerly lawless high sec

Villains: Psychotic Monk for the mass destruction he causes among seemingly innocent corps.

Note: This is based on the roles these players have chosen to play. Tomorrow James could be back to scamming, SJY could take up a contract against CVA, and Monk could save high sec with these roles being reversed.

It is hard to assign a static definition to those terms, especially in Eve. How does one go about deciding what makes a hero or a villain? Is there a standard one can measure a player's actions by? Or is it all subjective?

We have several heroes of the goonion. Mr Vee, FC of our hearts. DBRB, welper of titans, teller of stories. Solodrakbansolodrakban, do not annoy.
