I think the best ones are gag articles. There's not much danger of everything going horribly wrong and somebody getting humiliated or offended.

Example of a bad one: Woman at the office invites a guy to her house. When he gets there, she flirts with him and says she'll be waiting in the bedroom. He gets naked, opens the bedroom door, and there's the whole office staff-- "Surprise! Happy Birthday!" Birthday guy ends up getting a divorce over that. (True story, happened in my home town in Texas).

Sorry, didn't mean to throw a damper on the April Fool's Day fun...! Nobody here would dream up a prank as stupidly no-fun as that example. Smile
