Allow change to the quantity of items being put into a contract. When done from a distance I cannot change the number of items in a stack. If I am not doing it remotely, I need to split the stack up manually then go back then hit next again until I get the quantity right.

Why is this useful? For filling freighters to max capacity with easy. I want to ship a certain volume and do it quickly. I realize the time I take to manually down stack is incomparable to the time it takes to move the actual shipment; I still would like it.

Please let us have a drop box on private contracts so we can select among our positive standing contacs and not need to write character names.

When you move too much stuff between the same peopel that gets borign to check and re check if that is the correct person so you do not make that for free contract that was supposed to go to your corpmate go to someone else that have a almost equal name.

The ability to have a receiver on a courier contract who is different from the sender.

Current scenario:

Have an alt in Jita who buys things.

Set up a Courier Contract using a JF service to send that material to a system in null sec.

Item is delivered in null sec.

Then set up an Item Exchange from the Jita buying character to the null character who actually needs the stuff.

Depending on which accounts alts are on there can be a lot of logging in and out to do something very minor.

Proposed Scenario:

By items with JitaCharacter.

Set Courier contract through JF service, with NullCharacter as the final recipient.

Eliminates an extra contract and eliminates logging in and out several times.

Fix the name search when doing private contracts. It is very frustrating when doing multiple contracts to the same character/corp if there is another character/corp with a similar name. Every time there are multiple characters with similar names, the search window pops up. Use the exact name I put in the private field.

edit : 2 years ago, it was said the private contract name search issue would be fixed yet is still broken: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1131430#post1131430

Prioritizing things I've seen so far, taking "small improvements" and "UI/usability" into account... which is to say some ideas are great, but don't quite fit that. Oh and despite my use of "priotizing" I really mean "picking the top few that seem like the most bang for the buck" rather than any attempt to rank them, since they address such a varying set of issues. This necessarily leaves some out, but if you think I'm missing something that should qualify, lemme know what and why.

GENERAL

  • Streamline contract creation in general. I'm not sure what this would look like and thinking through the process I'm not even sure if eliminating windows is possible (they DO all serve a purpose) but things like drag & drop items and recipients into contracts would help. Automatically flipping to "Private" if you start typing a name was a great example of this.
  • "Copy Contract" (if not removed on account of bulk contracting options) needs to actually copy the contract, eg properly re-select everything and take me directly to the confirmation page. If I wanted to change settings, I'd be creating a brand new contract instead.
  • More contract slots, whether that's by buffing the existing skill(s) or adding new ones or both. Its ridiculous that to do what I do I've accumulated six max skilled contract alts over the years and have at points in time used them all.
  • Longer expiration dates on contracts. The short durations have value but there's little reason I can see why extending available times to match the market shouldn't happen.
  • Expired/deleted contracts & auctions that are won should deliver isk and/or items to the appropriate hangars automatically.

ITEM EXCHANGES
Bigger things

  • Allow contracts to auto-split a stack of items if the contract requires only a partial stack. This should be trivial, the ship fitting tool already can do it (it has to to correctly load drones and ammo). This also covers the multiple "let contracts fit the ship for you" suggestions and I actually prefer it as it means no more wasting rigs if ships go unused. "Multisplit" ('let me specify number of stacks and size of stacks when splitting') is a related suggestion that has value but is not directly within scope.
  • Ability to create multiple contracts at a time. Ideal would be identical contracts being both created and viewed in search as a stack - that is, 50 contracts with the same contracts will appear in search as a single item with a notation of the quantity available shown, and means to purchase multiples at a time available.
  • Ability to create a template for a contract that saves any or all attributes about a contract.

Smaller things/bugfixes

  • Allow BPO vs BPC to be specified (primarily applicable for WTB contracts)
  • Add "description" to search results.
  • Just flat out remove illegality from boosters, it's archaic and contributes to their lack of use. In fact, the concept of legality in general but to be annoying in the very rare cases where it rears its head (for example, buying & moving Plutonium for an Outpost drop).
  • Better collate listings with multiple items, including fit ships, contracts with multiples of the same item, etc - unless there's a reason (damage?), I want to see "8x Tachyon Beam Laser II" instead of eight individual entries.

Couriers

  • Fix the bug where contracts become undeliverable if you have more than 100 outstanding contracts. While it affects a small number of people and groups those people and groups also facilitate a massive amount of this games' content.
  • If not removed outright due to bulk options, copy contract should remember both items and, in the case of issuing them on behalf of a corp, the corp hangar they came from, instead of having to reselect both every time.
  • Move "Break", "Complete" and "Fail" away from each other in the right-click menu.
  • Allow bulk acceptance of contracts, even if only for ones issued to you privately, and improve bulk completion.

So if there's "Molic Blackbird" and "Molic Blackbird Alt" (the latter being a valid name since the introduction of middle names) and you type in "Molic Blackbird", does it search or not? Who are you trying to issue it to?

I agree that it's frustrating, I'm just not sure how to get around it.

e: Durr, get around it with a "Find exact" checkbox of course.

Also I left out "better filtering options on search" which was probably one of the other most common requests. That by no means means I don't think they're necessary, just that I think what's there now is "good enough" and focusing what is presumably limited available effort elsewhere would be more valuable.

Ore Compression Contracts or Two Stage Contracts:
This would need to be a two part contract, e.g. you receive X amount of ore after putting up Y amount of collateral, and you then have Z amount of time to deliver the corresponding amount of compressed ore in order to receive the contract reward and your collateral back.

Why? Because apparently it will take a Charon 25 trips to compress enough ore to fill a jump freighter. It would be nice if we could distribute the workload?

The ONLY reason I did not include courier contracts to POS in my priority list above is that I suspect it's probably, like seemingly all things with POS, a non-trivial effort. But I'd be very supportive of it - doesn't even need to be a new contract type, just the ability to set pos hangars you or your corp owns as a destination.

Being able to create 'template contracts' that allow you to always use the same contract type and recipient (and possibly other options depending on the contract type) would be really nice for moving stuff between alts and frequently repeated courier contracts.

I used to use Push Industries all the time, and it would indeed be nice to be able to have some kind of template contract.

For courier contracts specifically, it would also be nice if instead of having to mentally calculate the total price (or grab my smartphone or pocket calculator - yes I have a pocket calculator right next to the computer) I can input separate price values in the "fixed price" and "per jump" field and then have the game interface calculate it for me.

E.g. Push Industries charge 700k ISK plus 700k ISK/jump for standard high-sec freight, so if I need my stuff moved 12 jumps, currently I have to calculate 13 times 0.7 million ISK (it was easier back when they charged 500k instead of 700k). With a better interface, I'd simply be able to type 700000 in each field, and the game would calculate 9.1 million for me.

With an even better Contracts system, using Paxte's "templates", I'd be able to "teach" the game that Push Industries wants 700k/700k and then the game will always remember that for me whenever I issue a Courier Contract to them.

The game is already fairly good at "remembering" often used starting point and destination stations, e.g. if I type in "jit" then it immediately "guesses Jita 4-4 for me, and same with other stations I use a lot, but it would still be nice to be able to create 10-30 bookmarks specifically for Courier Contracts, and have the ability to click an interface button to select any one. But the old method of typing "jit" or similar must be retained, as it serves me very well.

For contracts involving the transfer of lots of units of the same type, e.g. 50 million tritanium or 9M scordite, it would be nice if the contracts interface automatically calculates the p/u price, both for the person setting up the contract, and the person potentially accepting the contract. I realize this can only be done for single-type contracts, that doing it for [multiple items] type contracts would be too much work, and I accept that. At least on the buyer's side. I still think it'd be nice if the seller could, when setting up a [multiple items] type contract, input ISK p/u values for each item, and have the interface calculate the per-stack price and the total price.

When we type a recipient's name and there is an exact match, please make it the first search result, or don't search at all.

Also, right now, once you've sorted the contents of a contract, you cannot return the list to the original order (important for contracts with multiple fitted ships). Worse, this setting is saved and applied to each contract you view. I've seen several suggestions that would remove this issue entirely, but if nothing else, please add an option to return to the original order.

Haven't read the thread fully Yet, so sorry if it has already been suggested.
If you drag a Character/Character Link to the Character field, link it to the character and don't treat it like manually inserted text.
Do you know how annoying it is for contracting from an Alt to this character, I dragged my Character Icon to the field, just allow it, don't treat it like I typed Caldari 5 in the field showing me the list of 10+ Characters to choose from.

I hope the above makes sense.

Contracts should be expanded to include pvp activities. For example, you should be able to set a war dec contract or a contract to kill another player.

Please add character trades to the contract system with a suitable UI to let us search on attributes like known skills, age and similar.

Then delete the Character bazaar on the forums.

Ability to change price/duration. More like market pvp.

If I want something sold, eg bpc and someone undercuts me its very tedious to remove contract, redo contract and try to sell it again.

Splitting multiple stacks when contracting multiple items from another station (or space) is a major task.
you have to scroll down the entire list of assets. and when splitting the stack you have to type the ammount you DONT want contracted, which is very confusing. It also takes lots of scrolling and the list resets to top every time you split a stack, which is annoying since you have to scroll down the whole list of assets again.

SO:

Make a search-window in items to contract.
When splitting stacks in contracts make it so that the amount you type will be the amount contracted.
You could also show selected items on top of list, so you dont have to scroll through the whole list of items to see wich ones you already selected.

Didn't read the other responses, so apologies if it was covered.

Copy contract option doesn't work properly on fitted ships that are exactly the same. You can copy the contract for unfitted ships with mods, but not fitted ships with mods. This is a big deal because people want to buy a ship of contract and go fly, while people that make the contract don't want to make 50 separate contracts pressing the same settings.
