lets take one perfect trader for example

I am just curious. I tried it myself on several occasions over the years but it never took off. Something to do with my brain going into meltdown after trying to babysit orders. I hear you can still push 150 mil updating orders daily or once in 2 days, but I am curious about the upper limit if you play 0.01 isk game. I imagine with all the competition including bots ( I personally saw at least one implementation of market bot) the upper limit can not be awfully high.

There is no limit?

Is this a trick question?

It's your margin times whatever you have invested.

If you buy a bill worth of crap and sell it 5% higher
If you buy 10 bill worth of crap and sell it 5% higher

Do you see where this is going?

It's not like your orders are filled the moment you place them or sell out the same way...
It's a steady stream of turnover ranging from 2-whatever % lets say you average 5% on all trades, you only have to have 3 bill invested to make your 150m a day. Assuming you have 3 bill turnover a day. That is not an outrageous statement.

If you had bought 1mill oxytopes 36 hours ago @ under 1000 you would be making 200m per 1m topes right now. (and that's dumping to buys)

Surely there is a limit...

You have a limited number of orders for once. What is it? around 250?

In a perfect world lets say you are margin trading on 125 most profitable positions and you adjust them as they change.

Then you are limited by margins
Then you are limited by volume
Then you are limited by competition since you can't update order right away whenver someone undercuts you.

Lets say you are not limited in your online time and you are either playing in no-life mode or use sophisticated market bot software

Of course one day you might earn more, one day you might earn less due to everchanging margins, volume or competition. But over the course of the month barring patch or some other game changer you will average a certain amount per day. Or am I horribly wrong somewhere?

So how high is the sky?

if you're on whole day 0.01isking, with a capital well in the hundred of billions, multiple billions a day aren't looking unrealistic at all.

Mostly depends on luck.

but it really all depends on your capital.

With 9 bill right now I can flip about 300-400 without having a cow.

The limit? How much ISK is in the game? Blink

Mechanically there's no real limit. At least not one you're going to hit.

Realisticly, it's down to your capital, and the velocity in your chosen products.
