NPC Standings upgrade

The standings system in eve feels a little dated.

The change i propose is simple if you have good standings with a pirate faction when you encounter that factions ship at a belt or gate they will appear as white +'s and wont attack you as you are for lack or a better word friendly with there faction.

obviously if you attack them then all ships there will become hostile and standing take a hit.

It's called a Pirate Faction for a reason...

Pirate NPCs shoot blues every day.

I see no problem with this.
