Hi.

Do you have a few minutes to hear about our lord and saviours, Bob and Rob minor?

There goes 6 minutes of my life, that I will never get back...

:)

Two possibilities exists: Either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

Excellent.

Now as I look at you, sir, I see a pilot who's obviously completely new to EVE and likely a little bewildered right now.

First thing to keep in mind is: Don't panic.

Remaining calm is also a pillar of the teachings you'll find in the book of Bob and Rob, if you look closely enough. An attitude that serves well in many aspects of one's daily life in the dangerous regions - things such as "Don't forget your bookmarks", "always stay aligned", and "quick, unplug your implants" are all ideologies that can be traced back to pilots who didn't panic.

Now sir, being as you're new, I imagine if you ever do venture into deep space it would likely be into a lower-class system. In that case your applicable deity would be Rob minor, also known as Robert, the God of C1-C3 space. Rob minor is the bastard son of Bob, also known as Roberta, Goddess of C4-C6 space and beyond. A particularly cruel mistress which, thankfully, you'll not have to contend with at such an early and vulnerable stage in your career.

There exist various differences in the teachings of Bob and Rob minor, due mainly to the fact the environment and opponents one may encounter in deep space vary right along with the system's depth itself. But the one thing that is common to both is that they welcome you with warm and open arms. There is nothing that pleases Bob and Rob minor more than seeing many people come into their realms. Here, take this copy of the Word before I go, and in your free time be sure to read a passage or two of their scriptures. It's my own version, slightly edited, and not endorsed or peer-reviewed by the Council of Elitist Wormhole Jerks, however I still believe it to hold merit.

I actually saw it on initial broadcast (very first ep of SNL). It's not particularly thigh slapping humorous, but it gets hilarious with the repetition.

He was a genius.

LOL, I too love "SUPER RATÖN" ... but I heard it in SPANISH

EL SUPER RATOOOOOOOOOOON!

Man How I nejoyed that show, mostly for the Mexican Translators that gave live to those characters in spanish, and sadly a few days ago pased away one of the most iconic, he was the million of voices used for most of the "classic" shows in spanish : JORGE ARVIZU

That guy was practically our version of Fred Flintstone and many others.

Believe it or not, Toons like Pixie and Dixie for example, were literally new cartoons for us, as the Cat (Mr. Jinks) was a Gypsy Cat from Spain and the Mice were, very funny local Latinamerican accented mice.

Hilarious I tell you, that cat was the "#$"#$ in Spanish, he even sung Gypsy songs hahahaha Big smile

Man I really miss that age of actual real dubs that were more livid than even the "original" voices. Dubs these days are plain literal translations.

Back in topic, one of my fave cartoons of the age was

Capitan Centella, he was rude, tough, actually killed bad guys or bad guys "suicided" themselves after their defeats at his hands, that crap was hardcore back in the day Pirate , since most bad guys were always chasing the good guys without ever ever getting them for real. Capitan Centella actually confronted them, kicked them, beat them to pulp, sometimes killing them in the process and was silently enjoying himself in a strange stoic pose when everything ended, and he mysteriously vanished afterwards. He was like the granddaddy, everything you seen he did first Big smile

If you want to check him out his name is Gekkō Kamen (月光仮面) , and yep, we got him in SPANISH too ...
