I didn't know you could overheat a damage control module!

Please tell us all more about how Honoureable and Patriotic you folks are (while whining about Ishukone working with the Federation).

Speaking of thrusting, I like Gallante hulls myself. Something about their shape that just sends a shiver down my spine.

And as a friend of old once said: "Once you have a thorax in yer hanger, you wont ever take it out!"

~Hikari

I had a crew chief once who claimed that, but he was talking more about how hard it was to keep that hangar queen properly operational between missions.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Before you start another piddling match, you better hope I-RED has never made a deal with TSF or Nation, Katrina.

@OP:

I am Caldari, but I fly everything. Captured pirate hulls, Empire hulls, Navy hulls, mining hulls, even a few special edition hulls. I like variety.

I'm well aware of what business dealings we've had with TSF. They gave us a free POCO once. It was empty.

Oh, and before my time in I-RED, TSF once discussed purchasing TCMCs from I-RED, but we never sold any to them.

We've never given them blue standings, shared drinks with them*, and handed over enemy POWs to them. We haven't bragging about it either. If anything, we regret any dealings we've ever had. Your decision to blue TSF happened under your Diplomatic Administration (you resigned afterwards, not before), and it was defended by you multiple times, including this time.

You "resigned your commission"? Don't make me laugh. It's a bluff. Nothing's changed, Pieter. You still fly for them, you still sleep with them, you still drink with them and defend them. Apparently, you're proud of the TSF deal, since you decided to bring it up again as a boast and threat on page one.

You tried to tell me how much you hated the idea. You tried to tell me how against the whole concept you were. You tried to tell me this because you wanted to continue visiting my partner and daughter. I was wrong to believe you, I guess, since here you are a couple months later.

You're proud of it. You like it. You're enjoying working with TSF.

Just admit it.

* Worth noting that I did allow Drake into my bar for a few months while I attempted to see if there was any value in capturing and vivisecting his body. Turns out he wasn't hiding any implants of value, so I made sure he wasn't allowed back in anymore.

Oh, so you have had dealings with Nation, then? Thanks for publicly admitting the extent of your hypocrisy - since you've admitted receiving favours from them, does it really matter that you did so while holding your nose?

I've flown with them once, perhaps twice. I have helped process some of the recovered prisoners we've received to make sure there were no implanted surprises lurking. Actually they were a pleasure to fly with - focused, professional and above all competent at what they do. I might not enjoy who they are or what they believe, but I DID enjoy flying with them, in the same way anyone would enjoy flying with a competent ally.

I also didn't enjoy defending the deal, but it was my job to do so, and I did it until I resigned those duties. I did counsel against the deal - strenuously - and my advice was ignored. Exactly as I told you. Exactly as occurred.

What any of this has to do with looking forward to the utter de-humanisation of men who beat Caldari POWs for fun, I don't know - except that once again it exposes your mania for attacking other Caldari in your holy quest to make Ishukone look good. At any cost. In any fashion. No bridge you won't burn to the ground in order to win a cheap point. No confidence you won't betray to make you or your organisation look better.

You're damaged goods, Oniseki. How you ever made it through screening without them noticing your enormous psychological flaws is beyond me.

I ask myself the same question every day, but then I am inclined to believe it may have something to do with my initial euthanasia and first clone. Or perhaps something that happened after.

Damaged goods is entirely correct. I'm more than damaged. I'm downright broken, incapacitated, and borderline non-functional. It's no surprise. Not to you, not to the woman who insists on staying married to me, not to the daughter who would have to grow up to me. Not to anybody who's ever known or worked with me.

I still believe I should have disappeared through that stargate with Simca. I should be dead already, or if not dead, just gone.

Perhaps there is still time to join her.

Tuulinen, it's interesting how you compare flying with and swapping prisoners with an organization with receiving a single piece of orbital infrastructure. You're desperate to bring us down your level, it seems.

Interesting thing, that PYRE personnel stopped wearing State uniforms after being confronted about their collusion with a known enemy of humanity.

This explains why Diana Kim has a blue Thorax replica toy that she loves waving around all the time.

As to the original topic, while I primarily fly Minmatar ships I also occasionally fly Caldari and Gallente designs as well. The right tool for the job, etc. Although I'm trained to pilot Amarrian vessels I've yet to do so and doubt that I will anytime soon as buying one could indirectly support the Empire or its interests. So far that consideration has outweighed the potential deliciously ironic fun of using an imperial designed ship, piloted and crewed by Matari, to destroy imperials.

A good family in-fight among you Statists is almost as amusing to watch as when the slavers turn on each other. Please do carry on! My popcorn's almost ready and I have beer chilling.

P.S. I admire Pilot Oniseki's honesty and self awareness. You may disagree with what she says but you can't accuse of hypocrisy. I doubt she's as "broken" as she feels.

You mean a freighter sized piece of orbital infrastructure and technology who's material worth and potential for profit out strips the value of the men and women who have exchanged hands between the Foundations and the Defense Combine? That orbital infrastructure?

You're right, it's wrong to compare us giving I-RED something of great value for free with us trading with the Defense Combine small units at equal value.

And for the record in the thread I fly a mixture of Caldari and Gallente hulls. Caldari for fun, Gallente for business. With a smattering of Amarrian hulls for pleasure.

Swallow your pride, Capsuleers, and start dealing with politics, because until such time as we make politics an anachronism, they're pretty much a fact of life.

Negotiating with Nation or Nation supporters would recognize them as legitimate entities, therefore the only deals that can be had are at the end of a laser cannon. That is politics, the politics that very few capsuleers seem to understand. Diplomacy for the sake of diplomacy, compromise for the sake of compromise, business for the sake of business, peace for the sake of peace, these are not worthy pursuits. The Empire negotiating with the Republic and recognizing them as an independent government was a surrender, Ishukone negotiating with the Federation for half of Caldari Prime was a surrender, I-RED negotiating with or accepting a POCO from TSF was a surrender, Pyre negotiating with TSF is a surrender. Upholding integrity, even when you must make sacrifices to do so, is a part of politics, and it is a part that too many neglect.

Anyone captured by Nation or Nation supporters is a casualty of war. Nation and its supporters need to be eradicated, not bartered with. They are not a legitimate nation; they are terrorists, and you do not negotiate with terrorists.

I have a special place in my heart for rail guns. Other weapon systems certainly have their charms, but rails are the ones that feel right for me.

I also put a lot of stock in a good, thick layer of shields... but sadly, the Caldari Navy run short on variety, so I end up flying a lot of Gallente hulls as well.

My choice, Priano-haani, and one that happened before the public spitballing that you're referring to. And yes, I no longer feel qualified to wear the uniform - I don't disagree with your assessment in that respect, I never have.
