Hiya,

Attempting to download the EVE client on a new computer -- brand new, and I'm having some difficulty. After downloading the client initially, I noticed the installer was, every so often, pausing and displaying the prompt "Target payload not found". I cancelled the installation, had another go, and this attempt completely failed, prompting the same. Picture. I went into my AppData folder and cleared the temp directory, rebooted, and attempted again to no avail. The log/report the installer displays is: Pastebin. After all this, I tried the offline installer. I installed the executable, tried for the first payload, and was led to a broken link, in HTML claiming: "The information you requested could not be retrieved.".

Is this my end, or are the servers just borked at the moment?

Try deleting system 32, works for me in a pinch.

I used the repair tool and after a few hours it downloaded through the repair tool into the directory I ran it it, so yay me.
