The fact you put yourself in the same booth as, say, school kids being bullied by their classmates over the phone and on facebook etc. is just low.

You are not being bullied, you are giving away your stuff and throwing tantrums when asked to sing a song to potentially get it back, get real.

Also, the more I look at the thread title, the more it looks like a sad attempt at making a title for a bad documentary.

If you are a "victim" of this, then you deserve to be ridiculed. It means that your own greed followed by your inability to make rational decisions led you to do some really stupid stuff, then you blame it on other people as if they forced you to make the choices you did.

OP got greedy, took a risk, and it did not pay off. Oops.

Demonstrating poor choices in investment and who to trust does not make you a cyberbullying victim. It does make you a scam victim.

EVE has a long standing tradition of allowing things like holding people ransom for a song, or other such events. If you do not like CCP's policy, suggest to them that they change it - but given that they play those song ransoms at Fanfest, I expect the result will be that you will be told to HTFU.

Lesson learned, don't be greedy.

1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

You don't think the faith Erotica talks about is faith in him do you?

Isaiah 57:17 I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.

Keep doing Gods work Erotica!

There is a line. And sometimes people cross it. But to be blunt here, you not only gave them the gun they put to your head, but you loaded it.

Pity the fools that dive into the void, unknowing of the danger, but learn from them.

Forming a support group corp for victims will be like bending over in a Turkish prison shower. Every scammer will be targeting you since there would be so many easy marks in one corp.

Hey guys, let's all victim shame and hold a sociopath up as a model EVE subscriber.

To Clarify, I'm not Victim shaming. I feel bad for the kid and it is important they know that once they get out of school, these types of people will be surrounding them more often than not. He/she needs to develop street smarts quickly. Regardless if they are hustling or in corporate.

Always be wary.

Then, once you have street smarts, you realize that most people are pretty decent. The truly lazy greedy stupid and evil are spread thin, where they concentrate, nothing flourishes.
Is this bonus room crap still going? Seems kinda contrived. Pranks and tricks are all well and good, but months on end of the same old gets a bit tragic.

I cant believe you actually came on to these forums and admitted that you carry a 4th grade education. Seriously would you give all your stuff you own in RL to a complete stranger? Then why would you do that in EVE?

What really astounds me is that there are people who actually fall for this stuff.

My god man how are you not broke in RL?

The saying goes

Once bitten twice shy.

I hope you have learned your lesson OP.

There are allot of people who scam people in EvE everyday.

But to allow yourself get Bitten by Erotica1 who scammed you of everything you had in EvE tough luck.

Only CCP can answer that question if scamming is allowed or not allowed in EvE.

If scamming is allowed there is nothing that anyone can do about it OP.

But if CCP decides to put a stop to scammers and then CCP could PRESS THAT BIG RED SCAMMING BUTTON on those scammers and ban them.

This is all in CCP hands to decide the outcome. Big smile

So to be clear: **** everyone that hurts gullible artards?

Honestly, you thought you get get something for nothing, and you tried it and did. Then you thought you could get MORE for nothing, so you went for that too. Then when you had given away all your stuff, you chose to do some pretty stupid stuff when asked. How many times did you have to smash your head into your desk to kill off enough braincells to think that was a good idea?

Why would they even be thinking about that? This game has allowed scamming (Correct me if Im wrong here) since day 1 why would they change that.

What they need to do is whomever is scammed give them a free dust account maybe that will make them happy.

tl;dr version

you got greedy, wanted someone to give you free money, and your greed outweighed your common sense - the part of you that knew you were going to get burned.

They have, and it is.

It's against the EULA to launch personal attacks (As in, real life threats, name calling, racist remarks) against others. Other then that, this is a sandbox game. CCP does not step in unless the EULA is violated. If you follow Erotica1's actions, you quickly realize that he has never violated the EULA (however, his "victims" commonly devolve into using personal attacks, screaming, shouting, racial and homophobic slurs, etc.)

I'm tired of all these threads making the folks that allow their personal greed to shut off their common sense, and then rage and whine about it while trying to maintain some kind of moral high ground. It's pathetic.
