NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE MIGHTY SHUTTLE AGAIN! P

(and its a bargain price of 13,000 isk)

+1 for arbitrary mass values entered into a spreadsheet by game designers...

Its not really arbitrary, different building environment. Shuttles are constructed in space, essentially negating the mass. This is why we use the lightest materials possible in construction of planes and rockets, We have to break gravity in order to achieve flight, or orbit. The same would not apply if we built craft already in orbit, we could use lead as a construction component for craft build in space and the applicable mass would be largely redundant.

Mass still would affect inertia therefore propulsion even in space, so engineers building in space would Always prefer lighter materials.

Well, the pod technology itself is pretty complex. I think the shuttle is a technological marvel, able to fit and support all the systems involved with containing the clone and consciousness of a capsuleer. Could you build a smaller spaceship? You bet... but one that could hold an immortal internet spaceship demigod? I don't see how.

Big smile

Edit: Also note you can fling your shuttle 200 AU in half a heartbeat! Let's see a Mira do that! The Leopard is simply amazing. Probably the most amazing ship in game (without a jump engine), if you think about it.

This wasn't the first time I've had this discussion about the metric system.

Scott Manley made a mistake on one of his videos, saying something about needing 400 cubic kilometers of ore to create a titan. I corrected him in a comment which subsequently got marked as spam.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)
