Compression changes and manufacturing

Just a thought.

With the changes to compression there wont be the need for hundreds (thousands?) of alts to be compressing minerals into the form of guns any more for shipping to 0.0.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what's going to happen to those alts? Will people cancel the accounts they are on? Manufacture something else?

Could we be about to see margins cut as people find the easiest use for a team of alts sitting in High with nothing left to do?

Not a crazy assumption. I'd probably take those alts and move them somewhere where I can get better-than-empire refines, then start mass producing a large variery of t1 goods at below-empire buildcost.

Those alts will become freightering alts who move ore to a pos to compress, I assume.

Or market/hauler alts that will simply buy compressed ore from dedicated mining and/or compression corps.
