Low sec people - for whom should I vote?

hi,

the elections for CSM9 are coming, and the list of candidates is quite long. I would also want to research them if I am to help them rise to power ( ;-) ).

So, low sec guys, what are your propositions? Reading thru every post on every candidate will take me some time, and being pretty new here I would like to get some opinions from you. Whom should a low sec person support? High and null seem to be overrepresented at first glance. I always preferred to stick with my own.

Cheers,

Sorry, having lived in a democracy for 32 years I'm just going to assume the cattle will outvote any serious thinkers so who cares? Besides, each and every election ever is rigged anyway.

There are no LS guys. We are all too busy playing the game because we have neither the AFk missions of HS, nor the passive isk printing of nullsec.

Vote for me! I have an idea.

Take all the moons and all the pi in Low Sec, and Switch them with all the moons and pi in Nullsec.

That is my only Idea.

I think the fact that the vote will be sealed by 0.0 voters, close all discussion about a serious LS candidate to be efficient, if elected, in the CSM.

Pretty much, and CCP hates LS anyway so there is that to deal with too.

I'm sure it's not hate, more a distrust / dislike issue

Meh, doesn't matter. The ones who win and dominate are arrogant null sec bloc people like Malcanis who will insult you and ram through their narrow agendas anyway. The whole CSM is a farce.

If you want to really make your voice heard then VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET. If the devs aren't listening and the game is moving in a direction you don't like, UNSUBSCRIBE. The only thing CCP responds to is declining revenue in the form of people leaving.

If you're looking for a good losec only candidate, I'd suggest DJ FunkyBacon.

He knows his **** for losec and FW.

well... asked mainly cause if there's a voting I should give a vote. Wanted lesser evil :P

As for low sec... Most people I talked with that had, or appeared to have any idea loved LS and were quite proud they are not living in high or null. Most of them also liked WH a bit, but come on... If we are to be outvoted we need to vote for someone at least.

Just vote for all the losec candidates first, followed up by me. Then pick the rest out of a hat.

I would say Sugar Kyle. She also runs a market in lowsec and knows her ****.

Gorski Car is another good choice for lowsec.

Gorski Car even if playing in low is still a PL and will push PL agenda. Not a good option.

There is nothing wrong with PL. Manfred has some pretty nice ideas that would actually help Lowsec moving forward in some aspects.

If he is in support of the notion of flipping PI and Moon minerals from Nullsec to Low Sec he has my vote. If not I will vote for myself, and I am not even running.

Everyone always talks about risk/reward, LS POCO's and POSes are at the most risk in the entire game, thus should have the best moongoo and PI in the entire game.

Assuming the "risk/reward" is an actual balance metric and not just lip service.

Forget about lowsec. Highsec is the bigger issue. So vote Psychotic Monk for CSM 9!! =D

If your interest in Low Sec is PVP orientated, then vote for Jayne Fillon.

Mario Putzo you are making a ton of sense bud. Besides, I don't think LS needs a lot of CSM attention to be honest.

While some mechanics are obviously not perfect, it allows for the loose gameplay style most of LS cowboys crave. Lowsec is in quite a good spot at the moment with FW and Clone rat spawns as income sources. I even know a guy that mines insane amounts of ice without getting caught. People are having fun in LS as far as I can judge, together with wspace I think it actually functions somewhat as intended: at least well enough for people not to complain all the time, but to keep playing the game!

LS imho is close to being the most balanced and pure portion of this game. Apart from the little resource flip I would do, it is in a decent place. L5 missions provide really good reward for their risk, mining provides moderate reward for risk. POS and POCO rewards are lacking imo however.

As far as combat drivers, FW is obviously huge, but outside of that it is kind of lacking, an increase in "reason" is needed for nonFW groups imo, and again making POCO/POS conflict more rewarding could lead to an uptick in wars and such, which is always healthy for the game.

The nice thing about LS is that it gets bleed through for changes in both HS and NS so it keeps it in a relevant space.

Some love to nonFW income generation/conflict drivers though, that is essential imo and about the only real lacking element presently in LS. Having the highend planet/moon material from NS flipped into LS would do this, as well as help solve some issues in NS I believe.
