WH A641 Question about Navigation?

I was trying to bypass a Low Sec Choke point and was lucky enough to find a A641 to another High Sec system.

Question.

Are there rules associated with how these spawn?

1) If I wanted to get to a certain group of HS systems that are surrounded by Null or Low, and didn't have the EXIT point to a living A641 that gated to those systems, is there a way to possibly reduce the variable to finding a way in?

Is it all just random, and you have to get in first or find someone who has an Exit already saved?

It's a cool way to travel otherwise!

Its random.

If there is an island group of one class of systems i.e. highsec cut off by lowsec then to (semi) reliably bypass the bottleneck you'd need to leave a scanner alt or 2 in that group of systems and reverse scan to see what wormholes existed in that group of systems and if any of them connected back to somewhere useful.

wouldn't an interceptor just be easier these days?

Depends on what you want to bring to the island.
Last time I checked an incursion BS didn't fit into an interceptor.

You can't control the outcome of a static but they are predictable. If you go beyond the spoken name of a system (Jita, Amarr, J133569) and look at the value that represents the system in the look up table it doesn't take long to figure out the 'progression'.

Jump through your static and get the system (not the name you would say on comms, but the value). Roll the static and repeat. Get the value of the new static. If you are actively looking for the progression you should be able to guess it after 4 systems. You'll be confident you know it after 8 rolls and if you haven't figured it out for sure after 16 rolls - you'll never get it. Sometimes I wonder if I'm playing the same game as the rest of you. (Seriously guys, mess around with stuff to see how it works)

As far as keeping things moving. There are certain systems in every grouping that tend to collect sites. You don't need to cover all the systems in your grouping, but it pays to put an alt in the main collectors (think black hole here). As a general rule - if you're scouting and waiting for something to happen, it's a cool practice to initiate warp to all the annoms in the system you're waiting in. You don't have to actually warp to them, just initiate warp to them. They will move in 3 days or less. We can all do our part to keep things moving along.

As far as the wandering or constellation wh. I'm too lazy and way too understaffed to track them down. I'm sure they have a pattern (because.. math) - it's just that it would be an epic task to track the buggers down and break the code.
