Ive read somewhere that you can change factions in factional warfare (e.g. you can be Minmatar flying Caldari ship on Amarr side etc.). But when i open fw window and click enlist it just puts me on Minmatar side (my current race). So is there any way to actually change sides?

Whats up with with all the zones in FW being under Amarr controll? Does it change? It kinda scared me when i saw it, i dont want to be on the side wich is getting destroyed all the time.

I plan on doing pvp mostly, is Minmatar a good race for that? I know that you can fly ships of other races, but are there any suprises that make Minmatar bad for pvp?

Post in Warfare and Tactics for FW-specific advice.

The warzones work as pendulums, endlessly swinging. Yes, Amarr is very dominant now but this will not last forever. Which faction you join depends on which corporation's station you are in: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/How_To_Join_Factional_Warfare

Which side you are signing up to depends on which sides system/station you are docked up in when you click join.

You cant join a side if you have negative standing with them.

And changing sides is a bad idea. It will show in your corp history, and will label you as at best a farmer, at worst a spy.

Pick a side and fight for them in the Militia corp for a week or so. Once your kill board reflects that you are there to participate, and not just to milk the WZ for isk in cloaked/stabbed farmer fits, you will start getting invites into decent FW corps who will help you become a better player.
