I love choral music.

There is something about it that bounces around my soul.

This is very un-western.

It feels...amazing.

Please - if you have any more amazing choir pieces, post them.

I have a few more up my sleeve.

Ed - I should add that I am not religious at all. I just love choirs.

Aaaaaaand relax.

I will pop this here as it is one of my favourite pieces of music ever.

Headphones on, lie back (not that) and enjoy.

Aaaaaaand relax.

That would be great.

People should learn to listen to choirs - humans making amazing sounds.

What could be better?

Aaaaaaand relax.

Right as i am now home, as promised here are choirs.

First of all we start on a high note. The complaints choir of helsinki.Blink

Then we go for a bit of the Welsh male voice choir.

Men of Harlech

I vow to thee my country. Not really a choir but Katherine Jenkins has a hell of a voice.

Got to have Ave Maria because... well you may as well go home if you dont.

Version 1 as made famous to gamers by hitman blood money

And done by Pavarotti.

Got to have the Tallis Scholars. Man those monks cant half sing. Civ 4 players will recognise this music.

Got to pay it forward to the old Alma Mater and the Oxford Union choir.

Magnificat ^ And what a magnificent cat it is.

This one is very interesting since its done by the wives of british servicemen.

Sakura

Thats it for now as far as i can see off the old youtube favourites. Doubtless ive missed some as my list is so disorganised.

Choir music is great, especially traditional choirs. As is Gregorian chant.

Black Umfolozi
Or anything by their more famous friends Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Pick any song by them, they all sound about the same. Blink

I have to admit that I threw this out there with zero expectations and now I have a whole new load of music to listen to.

The Eve folks never fail to give me new stuff to think about. Thanks everyone - I will listen to all of that (unless it's Opera - I can't stand it!)

Edit 1 - Gray you didn't let me down - I loved the Complaints choir. Genius.

Aaaaaaand relax.

Hey now. Ave Maria by Pavarotti is a superb rendition.

It might be opera but its done without the silly bits or fat ladies. Which is a plus in my view unless fat ladies are your thing. Blink

I like to listen to choir music, but I do not seek it out. I do not really feel you all will consider this choir, but it is the closest that I have on my mp3 player.

Enigma

Full album which, even if you do not consider it choral in nature, comes highly recommended by me.
