Eve Online: Fair Play Mission Chain

Part 1: To the Rescue
A small Gallente Incursus drops out of warp just outside of the Pimebeka IV - Moon 1 - Carthum Conglomerate station.
“Station Dock Master, this is Katherin Starsight of the Incursus Starlance requesting permission to dock up.”
“Transmission received. Processing request. It’s good to hear from you again Katherin.”
“Thanks Jessica. How have things been around here?”
“Quite as always hun, permission granted. Welcome back to station, Katherin.”
The small frigate vanishes into the colossal station. Katherin starts to slowly shut the ship’s systems off. “Aura, start the shut down processes for all systems.”
“Understood ma’am. Additional commands?”
“Sustain Life-support until docking is completed.”
“Understood ma’am. Additional commands?”
“Negative.”
“Command Que initiated. Shutting down all non-critical systems.”
Katherin leaned back in her command pod and sighed. All she wanted now was a quiet and peaceful day in the station tavern.
“Docking process completed. Shutting down life support systems, and ejecting capsule.”
Katherin’s pod slowly drifted to the docking port, and opened up. The connection cables detached one by one, and Katherin quickly exited bio-jell of the pod. With her feet on the floor again, Katherin slowly walked to the captains quarters to shower and get dressed.
“I don’t care if the stuff evaporates quickly. It’s still slimy getting out of that pod.” Katherin got into the shower, and started the hot water running. A familiar chime filled the air, “Captain Katherin Starsight, your presence is requested in the Security Office. Repeat, your presence is requested in the Security Office.” Katherin looked over her shoulder and scoffed, “Yeah, as if.”
Katherin got out of the shower in a robe and was buffing out her hair when the chime filled the room again, “Captain Katherin Starsight, your presence is requested in the Security Office. Repeat, your presence is requested in the Security Office.” Katherin stopped for a moment to glare at the door. Ignoring the chime, she quickly got dressed, and stepped out of the room. As the door shut, she could hear the chime echo again. Smiling and she proceeded to head off to the tavern.
As Katherin slowly made her way to the tavern, a security camera zoomed in on her face. “Facial recognition 94% ma’am, she is in the station.”
“Thank you solider. Keep me posted on her location.”
“Understood ma’am”
Unaware of her surveillance, Katherin walked into her favorite tavern. The Black Mist Anomaly was not a special tavern, nor was it upper class, or well known. What made this tavern so special to Katherin was the quiet atmosphere. She could easily spend hours there sipping her wine and relaxing. “Pilot’s location confirmed, The Black Mist Anomaly tavern.”
“Understood, keep me informed of her location if she moves.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Ha! There’s my blond haired blue eyed devil. I was wondering when I would get to see your pretty little face again Kat.” Katherin looked up at the bartender and smirked as she waved. “Hey Chuck. Can I get my usual?” Chuck started to laugh, “Always darling. Your favorite seat has been cold without you here. I’ll be right over with your drink, you just make yourself at home.” As Katherin sat down, Chuck vanished behind the bar. After a few moments, Chuck returned carrying two glasses and a bottle of wine.
Chuck sat down across the table from Katherin and started to open the bottle, “So... What have you been up to lately?” Katherin leaned back, crossing her legs and arms, and looked to the ceiling. “Wow. That bad huh?”
“Chuck, you have no idea how easy you have it here in the station. Your biggest concerns are maintaining your licence, and keeping out of trouble. You don’t have to worry about all these corporations, pirates, or these ganking capsuleers.” Chuck shrugged as he filled Katherin’s glass, “True, but you make far more isk than I do. So I guess you could say it’s a even trade off.”
Katherin look Chuck in the eyes as she picked up her glass and took a sip. “I have to admit though, you have the best wine I have ever come across.” Chuck finished purring a class for himself as he looked up. The sudden change in his expression made Katherin look behind her using the reflection of her glass. A woman was standing in the doorway with her arms crossed.
Chuck nervously stood up, “Ma’am I...” Katherin watched the reflection of the woman raise a hand and motioned for him to leave. “Kat, I gota...” Katherin cut him off, “Don’t worry about it Chuck.” Chuck hurried out of his tavern, and pass the woman at the door. “Barkeep, would you be as so kind to lock the doors behind you.” Hearing the woman’s request, Katherin put her glass down and started to rub her forehead in frustration. Chuck gave a silent nod and locked up the tavern as he stood outside.
“Captain Katherin Starsight. I was told you were in here station.” The woman walked over to Katherin and sat across from her. “Do you know who I am?” Katherin crossed her arms again, “No. Should I, and should I even care?”
“It’s a shame really, and after the high regards I was given about you from Hahida and Aruna.” Katherin raised an eyebrow. “I see I have you attention now. I am Security Officer Ranhil Ghath, and I am here to represent the Carth...”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. What does the Carthum Conglomerate of the Amarr Empire what with me? Normally I look for work. Not the other way around.”

Ranhil sat back and mockingly mimicked Katherin’s pose. “Touchy today, aren’t we. Just hear me out, and I will let you choose to accept what I have to offer you.” Katherin picked up her glass and continued to sip the wine.
“As of thirteen hundred hours, We received a rather garbled transmission. We can’t tell who it’s from, but it is damnably close to a Navy distress call. It’s not certain, but I’m not going to be the one sacked for not responding quickly to a call from our boys.”
Katherin looked up at the clock, “That was fifteen minutes ago.”
Ranhil nodded, “And you are the only pilot available to investigate this.”
Katherin put her glass down with a sigh. “Fine. I will do it, but I am not doing it for free.”
“That was understood already. I have been authorized to credit you fifty-seven thousand isk for your assistance on the matter as well as fifty-one loyalty credits, and if you complete the task in a timely manner I will double the reward.”
“All right. I’ll go check it out for you.”
“Thank you Katherin. We just need you to fly out to these coordinates and see what’s going on, and take out any hostiles.” Ranhil slid an information disc across the table.
“You’re not my friend, you’re my temporary employer, so you can call me Captain Starsight.”
Ranhil stood from the table, “Very well. Captain Starsight, you can expect to win medals for this one day.” Stopping for a moment before knocking on the door to signal Chuck to open the door, “Good luck out there.” Chuck opened the door and let Ranhil out. Slowly, Chuck moved back to the table, “What was all that about Kat?” Katherin downed the rest of her glass with a scoff. “Apparently, I’ve turned into the Security’s errand girl. Save the rest of that bottle for me.” Chuck timidly nodded and corked the bottle as he watched Katherin leave the tavern.
On her way back to her quarters, Katherin loaded up the data on the disc. “Just great. Out in dead space of Baviasi.” Katherin started to strip off her clothing the second the door closed. “Aura!”
“Aura A.I. online. Orders Ma’am?”
“Power up the Starlance, and prep for launch.”
“Orders confirmed.”
Once her clothing was removed, Katherin rushed to her pod, and slipped into the bio-jell. The connector cables extended and plugged into Katherin’s spinal ports, as the pod closed. The pod locked into place inside the Incursus, and Katherin’s overhead display activated. “Aura, diagnostics update.”
“All three 125mm Prototype Gauss Guns are online, and fully loaded with Antimatter charges. F-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines online, specialty Scan Resolution Script programing running. Optical Tracking Computer online enhancing tracking speed. Afterburners online and primed. Magnetic Vortex Stabilizer online and calibrated. Damage Control Unit online. Small Armor Repair Unit online. Capacitor Power Relay unit holding at 100%. All systems nominal.”
“Thank you Aura, open communications with the Station Dock Master.”
“This is the Station Dock Master.”
“This is Captain Katherin Starsight, of the Incursus, Starlance. Requesting permission to undock.”
“Understood, checking all departure paths. Heading out so soon Katherin?”
“Yeah, Station Security is asking for a favor.”
“I hear you. Okay! I can squeeze you out. Fly safe out there.”
“See you soon Jessica.”
Katherin’s Starlance jettisons out of the mammoth station at maximum velocity, “Aura, plot a course for the Baviasi gate, and jump the gate on contact.”
“Course plotted, 31.9 AU’s out, Warp Drive activated. E.T.A. to gate 6.38 seconds.”
Katherin’s eyes took on a sinister glare, “I can only hope there is trouble out there to vent my frustrations on. The Starlance cleared the gate and Katherin started to punch in the coordinates for the mission. “Aura, plot a course to the targeted coordinates and activate the subroutines, tracking computer, and damage control unit. I don’t want to jump in flat-footed.”
“Orders confirmed. Course plotted, 8.9 AU’s out, Warp Drive activated. E.T.A. to destination, 1.78 seconds.”
As Katherin’s ship slipped into warp space, she readied herself for an intense combat scene. Dropping out of warp, her frustration sky rocketed. “A single frigate, and smugglers’ gate. You have got to be kidding me.”
“Ma’am, incoming transmission.”
“I knew one of you stupid newbies would fall for this. Now send me all your isk or I will pod you!”
Katherin rubbed her temples in aggravation. “Aura. Turn all ship controls to manual!”
“Understood ma’am.”
Katherin activated her afterburner and punched the throttle, as she opened communications with the lone pirate.
“Heh, my terms are non-negotiable, your isk or your pod. You choose”
Katherin’s temper flared as did her voice, “Strike one! You interrupted my personal time! Strike two! You are impersonating a member of the Amarr Navy. Strike three!!!”
Aura’s voice quietly sounded in the background, “Ship at maximum velocity.”
“You pissed the woman off by being alone out here!”
At the last possible second, Katherin rolled her ship avoiding a collision with the pirate’s ship, as each of her turrets took a single point blank shot.
“Enemy ship, is in critical condition.”
Katherin smirked, “As her ship slowed to a stop 6 kilometers off of the pirate’s ship. “Aura, current bounty on the target?”
“Contacting Concord.”
“You... You whore! You destroyed my warp core! This isn’t fair! I’m suppose to be winning!”

“Enemy ship has locked on. Concord reports target’s bounty at two thousand isk.”
Katherin’s eyes closed and bared her teeth. “You scum! You’re not even worth my ammunition!” Katherin fired a second volley and reduced the pirate to nothing more than a floating wreck. Katherin moved her ship closer to loot any surviving equipment. “Heh, go figure. All that makes it, is single piece of scrap metal.” Katherin burst into a fit laughter as she thought back to Ranhil’s words, “You can expect to win medals for this one day.”
“Yep, I already won a piece of metal.”
With a sarcastic sigh, “Aura, plot a course back to Pimebeka IV - Moon 1 - Carthum Conglomerate station.”
“Course plotted, distance minus gate jump 40.8 AU’s, E.T.A. 18.1 seconds. Warp drive activated.”
Katherin’s small Incursus droped out of warp just outside of the station.
“Station Dock Master, this is Katherin Starsight of the Incursus Starlance requesting permission to dock.”
“Transmission received. Processing request. It’s good to hear back from you again Katherin so soon.”
“Thanks Jessica.”
“Permission granted. Welcome back to station, Katherin.”
The small frigate vanishes into the colossal station once more. Katherin starts to slowly shut the ship’s systems off again. “Aura, start the shut down processes for all systems.”
“Understood ma’am. Additional commands?”
“Sustain Life-support until docking is completed.”
“Understood ma’am. Additional commands?”
“Negative.”
“Command Que initiated. Shutting down all non-critical systems.”
Katherin leaned back in her command pod and sighed. “And all I wanted to do today was sit at Chuck’s place and drink my wine. Let’s get this over with.”
“Docking process completed. Shutting down life support systems, and ejecting capsule.”
Katherin’s pod slowly drifted to the docking port, and opened up. The connection cables detached one by one, and Katherin quickly exited bio-jell of the pod. With her feet on the floor again, Katherin slowly walked to the captains quarters wiping the jell from her skin. She dressed quickly, and headed for the Security Office.
Pushing open the doors to the office, Katherin saw Ranhil talking with Hahida. “Ah! You’re back! How did things go Captain Starsight?”
Hahida looked at Ranhil, then to Katherin, “Captain?”
Kartherin waved Hahida off, “Long story, don’t look into it to much.” Katherin tossed the data disc onto Ranhil’s desk. “You distress call was a lone pirate, and the second I was on site he demanded I send him all my isk.”
Ranhil’s jaw dropped as Katherin continued, “Needless to say, he and you have effectively wasted my time. Now pay me, before I turn something else into scrap metal.” Ranhil did her best to recompose herself, “A pirate? Damn. I am sorry about that. At least you were able to handle yourself.” Ranhil picked up the data disc and inserted it into her computer. “Your account has be credited with everything you are owed. Hopefully, we can work together again on better terms.”
Katherin double checked her account status and verified the payment amount. “Just leave me alone if I am at the tavern.” Hahida smacked his forehead and started to laugh, “No wonder she’s pissed off with you Ranhil. Never interrupt her personal time.” Katherin waved goodbye to Hahida before leaving the office to return to the tavern.

I am truly not being rude when I say this might be better here

It obviously took a lot of effort and there is a place for it.

Best wishes.

Edit - I hope that didn't sound sarcastic. I am useless at communicating sometimes.

Aaaaaaand relax.
