Out of Pod Experience

Next month I am going on an adventure!
I will be flying to the world's most dangerous airport. Crossing Indiana Jones-style rope bridges and hiking rocky yak trails. Braving the -20 C night time temperatures and hole-in-the-floor toilets. Living off bland repetitive food and disgusting purified water. Hoping not to succumb to altitude sickness as I ascend to 5550m (18,200 ft) above sea level. Yes I am doing all of that because on April 18th, I am trekking to Everest Base Camp! And I need your help.

It would do wonders for my morale if I know I'm raising a huge amount of money for charity! I know there's been a lot of calls for donations recently with the Facebook campaigns but this is a special once in a lifetime event for me so I am hoping to raise a lot. Since I am paying for the trip myself, any donations will go 100% to Cancer Research. So if you can afford to give any amount even £1 then it would be excellent. On the RvB forums I put forward a proposition that if I raised £100 or more in total from EVE dudes then I will take a gratuitous selfie at Everest Base Camp wearing my RvB T-shirt - and this goal was achieved very quickly! So I will consider any other crazy/funny photo suggestions.

I want to help but I am RL broke!!
My EVE subscription will expire while I'm away. Normally I would renew it with a 12-month subscription on my credit card. If you have some spare ISK then you can donate it to me, I will buy PLEX and add game time to my account with that. The RL money I would have spent on a subscription, I will give to the charity. I can't go any higher than 12 PLEX in total I'm afraid since my RL cash is limited and this is the longest subscription period CCP sells. I've already had 6 PLEX donated so only 6 more to go. Any ISK/PLEX donations after that limit is reached will be graciously refunded.

And no, it's not a scam. If I wanted to burn all the trust and good times I've had as an RvB team leader then I'd just empty a corp hangar instead, it would be a lot easier and more profitable.
