I want to be a great fair trader - Looking for people to work with

I really like the market and the economic game, hates scammers.
I want to become a great fair trader so I need two things:

- Money ( working on it )
- Other trusted trader to work with

The goal now is to start a good work to obtain a good reputation.
So if someone want to work with me and help me to learn and both make good business, here I am.

Thanks !

Why do you need someone to work with, and what kind of partnership did you have in mind?

Your best teacher in this will be the forums as not many will be willing to teach on an individual basis unless they find that enjoyable in the meta game or it is mutually beneficial.

Pour through the posts and start collecting the small golden nuggets of useful information and apply it to your style of trading. I'll get you started with some advice:

1. routinely check the items you trade and look for new items that are more profitable
2. if it looks too good to be true, it usually is
3. opportunity cost is king
4. never trust another traders advice

To Elizabeth: with time I want to create a commercial network made of some fair trader, using all the necessary precautions.
I know that it is full of scammers but also there are many capsulers who enjoy to be a part of the economic game, like me, and want to stay in thanks to the good name and reputation.

To Rykker: thanks for the advices, but the last one kills the others Big smile
I'm reading the forum and using the market, what I really need are just some good advices to start earning some good ISK every day with the market.
Up to now I can earn something but not at a good day\week rate.

To both: thanks for the replies Big smile

Triad, I'll work with you. One more trader in the ocean isn't going to change my profits, and it will put some "market discussion" back into the Market Discussion forum.

I'll shoot you an Eve-mail and a convo. I can coach you via Skype.

On a basic principle stick to the market (contracts can be lucrative but are full of so many scams you will be into structure before you even undock).

1) Buy low, sell high
2) Spread your isk across several items
3) Keep an opportunistic ISK fund for times when you see a great opportunity to invest in (ie/ Leopards @ 20 million ISK)
4) Ignore the 0.1 isk bots. Cut them down and they will flee into the hills from once they came
5) Know your market. Gall sectors usually more drone heavy etc etc.
6) Go where the mines are still worth mining - not too busy with traders, not too sparce with customers.

7) INNOVATE TO WIN!

EDIT: Also:

8) Be ruthless. Trust no one, gloat to no one, reveal nothing to no one.

This post is my only exception.

Check out Blueprint Broker as he deals with BPO's and BPC's all of the time. He can get you what you need and what you want at a reasonable price.

To DrysonBennington: Yeah for the blueprints, I also checked and for sure I will go for that way.
I understand that using BP is fundamental.

To Elizabeth Norn: you're right, that's why I say that I want to prove that I'm a fair trader with time and reputation.
Consider this post just a starting point.

If you want other trusted traders to work with, I am currently building a corp for this exact purpose, the "First Trade Union of New Eden". We have started the corp a few days ago and are currently recruiting, but in the long term we want to support our fellow members and do some joint operations (market manipulation, offering buyback programs to other corps, large scale market seeding, etc.). Our corp structure also reduces the risk of scamming, so you don't have to put blind faith into other corpmates. If you are interested, you can find our advert in the corp finder.

You can also send me an Evemail ingame or convo me when I am online, I would love to help you, no matter whether you join us or not.

I like the idea. Are you accepting alts too? I have a trader I recently PLEXed again.

Do you know who's going to inherit New Eden? Arms dealers. Because everyone else is too busy killing each other.

Making trading, and i am really honest, it's way overestimated.

I mean, there's probably nice money to do in it, and i made it. What i am currently looking today is actually an oversaturated market (al least in the major hubs, that is where you have to be for the killing money).

I remember making 4B in just May 2012, changing orders like 2, 3 times a day, just station trading faction/pirate BS, freighters, and with just 25 B.

Now i am over/underprice in seconds in Jita, Rens, Amarr.

Oh and i am not just picking couple of items, i daily dig down 750 items (have a web app making lots of nice stuff to achieve this).

Morale: don't expect to see big numbers, in the beginning. You might be happy to see you money raising up, but the desirable moment when your finances do not scale up fast is way closer than how it was before.
