Give us the Nova Bomb...
Let the Noobs of Highsec find the occasional "Holy Hand Grenade"...
and they will visit death and destruction upon the evil blobs and gatecamps which will vanish in a "flash".

As these ultimate weapons of Our Lady of Enema work their way into the "arses" of Zero,
SUBSCRIPTIONS WILL RISE as new players are incentivised to join Eve and celebrate the tears.

Only the truly strong in zero will be able to maintain anything larger than small holdings and the economy of Eve will be thrown into high gear as the need for isk and minerals rises to replace the losses.

Of course the response will be that "Nobody will build anything but Ibises with Nova Bombs then." But this shouldn't be the case if CCP sticks to the principle that EACH SHIP MUST HAVE PURPOSE... so perhaps you must have a Titan to maintain the Sovereignty markers.. and perhaps only Dreads should defend Titans.... and perhaps only Battleships to defend Dreads.... and so on down the line...

except that the occasional Nova Bomb comes along to keep the entire situation in balance no matter what the size of the alliance... Total war... total mayhem.. total PvP... AND RISING SUBSCRIPTIONS !

p.s. Definition of a Nova Bomb is a bomb that occasionally drops from special level 1 highsec missions that ONLY CASH PAID SUBSCRIBERS may run. Said bomb would require little or no SP to utilize, could be launched from almost any ship, and would do massive amounts of damage to everything in a 250 to 300 klic radius, destroying almost any ship there, including the launching ship unless he warped away during its short fuse time.

THINK OF THE MAYHEM ! THINK OF THE FUN ! THINK OF THE IRRESISTABLE URGE TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS !

so occasionally, some noob will drop by and pop a fleet?

99% of nullsec alliances would shrug and move on. It doesn't hurt income, it doesn't hurt strategic balance, and if the alliance was halfway decent, it wouldn't even annoy the individual pilots who got free ships out of it. Not to mention, said alliances have thousands of players of their own, certainly with "nova bombs" of their own.

sounds to me like you just want to fly a bomber. you know, the ship that already basically does this for cheap, and is actually balanced properly.

this idea was ignored in the other thread for a reason, why did you create a new one. i suggest you train to fly a stealth bomber.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Yeah, because letting a frig solo titans would be oh so fun...................... What this would do is eliminate any desire to pvp in the game. Which by itself is impressive, so pat yourself on the back for that.

So you are saying that the Zero Alliances NEED AND CAN AFFORD the challenge? Right?
I agree with you.

My main has flown bombers for years... they are ineffectual unless used in large numbers and noonbs can't use them.
The primary point of the Nova Bomb is to give noobs a means of biting back and attracting new subscribers.

you flew bombers wrong, and *everything in EVE* works better with support. Hell, every single ship above cruisers/BCs pretty much require support.

You want an IWIN. You want some stupid cross between bombers and old titans. there is a reason EVE does not have mines or old titans anymore.

Ten noob PAID subscribers are worth ten times one pissed off vet who can afford the loss. Pilots shouldn't fly what they can't afford to lose... Right?

Ten noobs paid CCP something like 150-450 dollars.
That vet? yeah, do the math. And the vet is much more likely to stick around, as he already is invested in the game.

No, I want an irresistable reason new players should subscribe to Eve and attack the status quo and at the same time provide a method of shaking things up in Zero.

Quite the contrary, I believe it would generate massive numbers willing to enter the fray. In fact I think it would double the number of players willing to mercilessly assault zero in short order.

Wrong. What would be the point of holding sov if someone could just fly by in a frig and destroy everything? What would be the point of taking the time and effort to maintain a POS if one guy in a frig could reinforce and easily destroy thousands of them? What would be the point of trying to take sov if any fleet could be destroyed by one bored alt? What would be the point of undocking ANYWHERE if just one bored guy can decide that he wants everything to die off station?

The point would be the fastest broken game in history.

*People farm Nova bombs in level one missions
*People sell Nova bombs for several billions each
*0.0 alliances stock up on Nova Bombs
*0.0 warfare becomes Nova Bomb online, and no other ship is worth fielding
*Grats, you just killed eve.

You need to reread my proposal. I said the Nova Bombs would "occassionally" drop in missions... as in a carefully controlled number designed by CCP to provide just enough spice to keep gatecamps and blobs a "risky" proposition and to attract new players to the game.

No.. I've just increased combat in Eve tenfold...
allowed noobs to extract tears from vets...
solved the gatecamp blob war syndrome...
put the Eve economy in overdrive for minerals and replacements....
and provided CCP with increased subscription revenues.

You *seriously* underestimate how many players nullsec alliances have, and how good they are at focusing on their objectives. There is simply no way a highsec entity could even come remotely close to the nova bomb stockpile of a nullsec alliance, especially when said alliance doesn't even have to fly into highsec to farm them - they can just start a noob alt.
