Always good to see a little guy come out of nowhere and do well. Especially when the big game companies are so unoriginal and risk-averse these days. Every game seems to be a rehash of some genre that became successful 10 years ago. (FPS, RPG, simulation, RTS, etc.)

I was thinking about buying a minecraft subscription but I couldn't find a demo.

If most people had my mentality about spending, no gaming company in their right mind would ever not have a demo. I'll probably pirate the game and if I like it, I still won't pay for it most likely. It's not like I can migrate my pirated-version save to the legit realm.

Seems someone confused profit with revenue...

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

More power to him. I don't play it anymore, but I have nothing but fond memories with it.

Little guy makes good.

I like those kind of stories. He has enough capital now to do whatever he wants. So he can afford to experiment and be bold.

A fun fact about me and Minecraft; the only game that ever gave me motion sickness was Minecraft. I haven't touched the game in about two years for that very reason.

My 5 yearold loves that damn game. She would spend her every waking moment on it if she could.

My brother plays Minecraft with his two kids. Dad, 13-year-old son, and 6-year-old daughter built a huge fortress together. Pretty nice that a computer game could appeal to all age levels and tastes like that. And actually become a family-togetherness activity.

I love it.

Starting out new with a friend on minecraft is some of the most fun I have had with video games in over a decade.

We dug a cave, gathered a handful of seeds and made an indoor wheat field by a waterfall to keep us with food while we gathered enough supplies to keep travelling.

Sadly my friend outgrew the game and I never really did but after that I had no one to really play it with.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.
