Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Hello. For many months now I have had difficulty with the forums- specifically, changing what character I am posting with. I can log in fine and I will be on whatever character I was on last but when I go up to 'switch character' I get a red error screen that says" there was an error processing your request"

This will go on for days and even weeks. Then all of a sudden one day it will let me switch character, then I'll be stuck on that one for weeks as it almost instantly breaks again. Does anyone else experience this? And is there a workaround?
