Patch seperate copies of Eve

I have made 2 copies of Eve on disk, to play my accounts separately.

I then run them directly using exeFile.exe (this allows me to set affinity to separate CPU cores automatically).

But when I get to the log in screen I can't patch.

There is a pop up window saying there is a new build available. I click yes.

Most of the time I get:

"The update was downloaded but it failed verification indicating that the file is corrupt. Would you like to download the file again?

You will not be able to enter the game until you download the update."

And then when I click yes I get (and sometimes it skips the first message):

"There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status:

Unable to download file /590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe from the server.
Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe not found

Do you want to go to support page?"

When I go to the support page I get the option to download the full game as a patch ... that obviously won't work on a daily basis.

Anyone know a good way of handling this?

Patching from in game still doesn't work for me.

One work around is to make separate shortcuts to the launchers in each directory and then run those first before you launch the game after each patch. It's not elegant, but it does get the job done.

The launchers can be run simultaneously without interfering with each other, and you don't have to sit and type to log in thanks to Eve patching before you log in (I like this!).

*EDIT*

On a side note, under Windows 7, if you set affinity to 1 "Windows CPU" in a HT CPU, it results in a graphical error in captains quarters, you need to set affinity to both hardware threads to avoid this. (For those that don't know, Window 7 treats hardware threads as individual CPUs, that is why a quad core CPU with HT has 8 "Windows CPU"s, simply set affinity to core 0+1, 2+3 etc to set for both threads).

*More EDIT*

Actually using my brain for a second after finding out the launchers can run concurrently, you can just set the affinity for the launcher and not use exeFile.exe at all, the affinity is inherited by the clients the launcher spawn. Down to 1 icon / command per client copy to start the game. Still need to close the launchers though so not the ideal solution, but better than patching / running game separately in my opinion, where you have 2 icons / commands + need to close the launcher..
