Empire installations, why are they so cheap?

It only seems cheap because those installations are still under npc control.

Put them in player hands and somebody, somewhere, will do their level best to screw and/or manipulate costs. POCO's being the most recent example.

The same thing happened a few years ago with anything that Planetary Interaction now makes, but used to be seeded by npc Sell Orders.

Hands up if you remember what Enriched Uranium and Coolant and Robotics used to cost from NPC's versus what it costs now.

So, yeah, installations are cheap but not because they are "broken". They are cheap because they are still in the realm of NPC control -- which is to say you can thank your fellow players for the vast inflation that affects the cost of just about everything else.

Fun times. Blink

If you want to increase line costs they need to increase in all area's of space.
Null already has bonuses to how fast they can produce items which mean they pay less line costs anyway.
You don't need to load the system so that someone in Null can utterly destroy someone in High if they choose to do so. Not when Null already has the advantage on PI, Moon Goo & High end minerals.

Most people do say that nullsec industry needs a nerf...

You do know that stuff doesn't get hauled to highsec. Even the cheapest costs with hauling back to empire cost a 7bn JF and 12m a jump, plus a little extra to pay for your ship when you eventually get ganked. Don't expect to start seeing Drakes shipped into Jita from NOL for profit anytime soon
