NEO Pop up

CCP, is it really necessary to disrupt my game playing for a moment to splatter a twitch stream pop up? I understand the need to get the information out, but that should only be displayed in the selection screen. For all you know that could be the difference in someone losing or keeping their ship, DT notifications I can understand because you can anticipate those, but this I don't. Unless it is critical to the server's status Id prefer not to see that.

Did it slow down your lvl 4 mission?

I think you are missing the point....if the announcement were in local channels it could easily be be hidden and not be a disruptive measure, if they start with this type of behavior, they will start popup every little twich stream they start. I don't mind notifying the players so long as it doesn't interfere with game play. There have been times where I needed to make a split second decision to for instance overheat or warp out, and such a popup would prevent me from clicking, so yes it is disruptive.

Well said, same thing happened last year. It's annoying and disruptive.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

let's just wait for hordes AD addicts who will come here and cry 'THANKS FOR POINTING THIS OUT' like they did in thread about 3rd party ADs shown in Eve launcher Roll

i doubt it.

If you are fighting a pirate that likes to ransom, there's a chance he'll try to start a conversation with you every few seconds, even if you reject. I've never noticed that leading to me being killed faster, ands that's a relatively large notification pop up.

The notification box opens centre screen and only takes a second to shut down.

However, you actually have a means to circumvent that by blocking the pilot and invites. You dont have that option with a system message. In a neck to neck fight where you are both near being destroyed a second can make the difference.

I suppose I'll do the dirty work....

"Thanks for pointing that out."
