Why do I pay $15/month to get in game ads ?

Eve online is :

A) mining simulator B) glorified chatroom C) spreadsheets online

D) CCP Games Pay to Win at skill leveling, with instant gratification

I understand CCPgames is hurting atm, because of their higher echelon management decisions:

But will we current costumers suffer more in game ads, so CCP can promote their other products ?

Pretty sure CCP sees zero financial gain from running and more relevant to your whine, streaming, the tournaments, so if you want to complain about one measly popup, find a better reason.

Let me get this straight: you want us to tell CCP not to inform EVE players about EVE events?

Normally I'd say something snarky or sarcastic, but for derp of this magnitude, I think I'm just going to ask for money: 5 billion ISK and I'll do it.

What are you trying to accomplish here?

There is a big difference between those unsolicited and annoying advertisements you see in free to play games and announcements that might interest you. I rather see this 'add' than miss an event because I haven't been paying attention at the forums or my calendar lately.

CCP is a FOR PROFIT company. As Such any streams of Revenue they can get.. I have no issues with. We support Sports teams, Pay for Pay per view events, Drop huge chunks of cash on Merchandise... We pay to watch our Cable TV. Yet Even tho we pay to watch Cable Tv, We still have AD's on TV. Revenue is Revenue.. In the end.. It's all profit, More profit they make, more they have to spend on the game. More they are happy with income coming in, Longer the game stays alive.

although the 'ads' in this case were just for community events, just because ccp is a for profit thing doesn't mean we have to support everything they do for profit

it's not a reason in itself to tolerate garbage like 'greed is good'

and 'keeping the game alive' wouldn't be a reason to tolerate it turning into a dungheap in the process

How about that ingame message like that can be immersion breaking in what ever you are doing.

Some pvp engagements can last less then 30sec, and if you get more of these "adds" in front of you soon™ that will ruin a good fight.

For the sensitive CSM posters in here, at least think about having an option to turn this stuff off ingame.
